Directions for Setting up Your Voicemail Via the Telephone

Tip!

We recommend running this PowerPoint presentation as you are setting up your voicemail. Follow each step carefully, and you will be successful!

Step 1

On your phone at school, dial 4400.

Step 2

When prompted, enter your extension number followed by #. If you are calling from your own extension, just press #.

Step 3

Enter the default password (1111) followed by #.

Step 4

"You are required to change your password now."

Enter a new password now (minimum of 4 digits) followed by #.

Step 5

Record your name at the tone.

Press * to stop recording.Press # to save your recording.

Step 6

To record your alternate greeting:

Press 8 for Answering Options.

Step 7

Press 1 for Personal Greetings.

Step 8

Press 1 for Alternate Greeting.

Step 9

"This greeting is currently off."

To change, press 1.

Step 10

Enter recording number 1.

Step 11

Press 1 to record a new greeting.

Step 12

Begin speaking after the tone.

Press * to stop recording.Press # to save your greeting.

Congratulations!

Your mailbox has been successfully set up! You can simply press # and hang up.

Use your new settings the next time you check your voicemail.
