The following pages contain important information about many aspects of the Vogel
line, and cover some of the most commonly asked questions. Please read through
these pages carefully.
COM / COL - Customer's Own Material / Customer's Own Leather
Use Grade 40 price. Yardages quoted are for PLAIN or RANDOM-PATTERNED, 54" wide material ONLY.
PLEASE REFER TO THE “COM INFORMATION” PAGE FOLLOWING THIS INTRODUCTION.
For COL use Grade 40 price plus $250.00 per item for hand-cutting.
To determine square footage requirements:
COM yardage x 18 = minimum # of leather square feet required
PRODUCTION LEAD TIMES - Delivery is quoted approximately 8 to 10 weeks from receipt of your order,
unless advised otherwise. Delivery on orders using fabrics not stocked in our factory (ie. "COM" and/or
"Special Order" fabrics) is quoted approximately 6 to 8 weeks from when fabrics are received in our
factory; your (emailed or faxed) sales acknowledgement will highlight this receipt date.
Lead times on orders specifying a Vogel “premium” finish or a customer-supplied “custom” finish can
run approximately 2 to 4 weeks longer.
COVERED DECKS & ARM CAPS - Covered decks are included as a standard item wherever possible.
Arm caps are included on all styles as indicated (see specific style columns at bottom of page). If extra
arm caps are desired, they are available at a cost of $75.00 per pair. Arm caps are not available on
most other styles due to design limitations. Arm caps are never supplied in leather.
HEADREST - Headrest covers are available at a cost of $75.00 in any fabric; $125.00 in leather.

METAL NAIL TRIM - Our metal nails are individually hand-applied; we do not use strip-nails. Our metal
nail options are regular-sized Brass, Nickel, Pewter and Jumbo-sized Brass. Certain styles -as indicated
in the “General Information” section under specific style columns at the bottom of each pricing page-
are made standard with our regular-size metal nail trim whether upholstered in fabric or leather. Some
of these styles can have nail trim omitted; please inquire directly with our head office.
Metal nail trim can be applied on most items where they are not standard. Pricing starts at $125.00 per
item; please consult our order desk for details.
Full show-wood frames upholstered in leather are ONLY available WITH nail trim due to manufacturing
limitations. Please inquire with our head office for style-specific details.

SEAT CUSHION OPTIONS - Unless otherwise stated our standard foam seat cushions are
fiber-wrapped; foam density ranges between 2 and 2.25 lbs.
"Unidown" (re: standard seat-cushioning model #91 only) is layered premium polyester to
give a feather (ie. softer) effect.
COMFORT-DOWN CUSHIONING - Comfort-Down cushioning is a premium cushioning option
available on any item with a loose seat cushion. It consists of 100% waterfowl feathers,
encased in a 100% cotton down-proof ticking. It is available on all chairs as follows:

COM INFORMATION SHEET
The following is important information about orders utilizing “Customer’s Own Material”. To ensure that
your C.O.M. orders are processed and produced properly, please carefully review the following
information:
COM = Customer's Own Material. Use Grade 40 price as indicated for each style.
COM yardage requirements quoted in this price book are for PLAIN or RANDOM-PATTERNED, 54" wide
material ONLY. It is the customer’s responsibility to obtain from our head office accurate yardage
requirements for any material requiring special handling (eg. pattern-matching, centering patterns,
etc.).
The additional labour charge for COM requiring special handling is $150.00 per item.
*WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO EVALUATE ALL COM RECEIVED. ACCEPTANCE OF COM FABRIC IS AT THE DISCRETION OF OUR CUTTING DEPARTMENT AND MANAGEMENT. COM FABRICS DEEMED LESS THAN IDEAL AND/OR UNSUITABLE FOR UPHOLSTERY MAY BE REFUSED AND/OR ADDITIONAL CHARGES MAY BE INCURRED. YOU WILL BE CONTACTED IN ADVANCE OF CUTTING SHOULD EITHER OF THE ABOVE SITUATIONS OCCUR.*
Please adhere to the following guidelines when forwarding COM to our factory:
1. All COM should be clearly marked with YOUR store/company name (in addition to your
consumer’s tag name if desired), the corresponding purchase order number, quantity and
style number it is being sent for.
2. Wherever possible, your original purchase orders forwarded in advance of your COM should
note the supplier of the material from where it is being sent (eg. Joanne Fabrics, Robert Allen,
etc.), as well as the specific pattern name/number and colour name/number.
3. Please do not send original purchase orders with your COM; these should be sent via fax,
phone or email directly to our head office, in advance of forwarding your COM. If you wish to
enclose a copy of your purchase order with your COM, please ensure that it is clearly marked
“confirmation only” so as to avoid possible duplication.
4. Wherever possible, please clearly indicate directly on your COM and/or your formal purchase
order the direction of the material (ie. railroaded or not), and any special instructions we
should be aware of prior to cutting your COM.
Many fabrics are questionable with regard to the correct side to be used; please indicate
correct facing side of your COM (See “COM Information Form”).
5. All COM is to be sent to our factory prepaid. Unused/excess COM will be returned with orders
ONLY when requested on / with your original purchase orders.

WARRANTY
• Lifetime warranty on wood frame construction
• Lifetime warranty on spring construction
• Five (5) year warranty on premium foam seat cushions, and upgraded cushions.
• Five (5) year warranty on swivel, swivel rocker, swivel glider and recliner mechanisms
• One (1) year warranty on all other materials and workmanship.
We cannot offer any warranty on upholstery fabrics as these are not warranted by our suppliers.
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the furniture, and only under normal conditions of use as determined by the manufacturer. Any use other than normal residential l use or any use other than that for which the product was designed will render this warranty null and void.
TO MAKE A CLAIM:
Original proof of purchase must be retained in order to make a claim. All claims must be handled through the Vogel dealer from whom the chair was purchased . The dealer will handle all necessary arrangements regarding service under the warranty. Freight costs will be the responsibility of the purchaser.
Our policy regarding repairs states that ANY AND ALL REPAIRS MUST BE PRE-AUTHORIZED by either our head office or your sales representative . We will not be responsible for honouring any requests for credit for labour performed on our products where we have not been given advance notification of same. We require a written estimate for any (local) repairs prior to honouring such claims, and prior to goods being returned. We will gladly be responsible for any manufacturing defects, but must be advised of any such problems prior to labour being performed, where a request for credit will be made. Adhering to this policy will expedite any such claims.
