Sample case Studies Ravindra, works as a Channel Sales Manager with vodaphone. He has been assigned a particular territory where his job is to deal with Master Distributor (MD), Additional Distributor (AD) and Dealers. Ravindra generally spends about 5 – 6 hours every day on field in his territory dealing with MD, AD and Dealers. He has more than 1000 dealers in his territory out of which 180 dealers sell new vodaphone connections every day. Today also Ravindra has made a day plan for himself and set his day priorities for the day. He also speaks to his respective MD, ADs and dealers to communicate their priorities to them. While dealing with one of the dealers, he comes to know that one of the dealers is not interested in selling vodaphone new connection as he getting better margin from one of the competitors and Ravindra goes to meet the dealer to understand his concerns and satisfy him. The dealer looks very annoyed and not ready to share his concern. Lot of time is getting wasted in terms of convincing dealer and pacifying him but Ravindra has no other choice as the dealer has been selling vodaphone connection for a very long time and generating good revenue for himself and the company. While dealing with the dealer, Ravindra gets calls from some other dealers regarding new connection application rejection. The dealers don’t look very happy as the new connections sold by them got rejected and they are facing lot of heat from their end customers. When Ravindra asks them the reason behind rejection. The dealers have no idea. There are more than 55 connections which got rejected. Ravindra is moving back and forth and dealing with the district headquarters to know the status of each rejected connection as he has to communicate the status of the each rejected application to the dealer and dealer has to share the same reasons of the rejection with the end customers. In the mean while, Ravindra gets a call from circle office for an urgent meeting regarding new guidelines. He has to be there for the meeting and he cannot miss it.
