Humans have a universal ambition to explore space. Mars is one planet in which we are very interested. Though we have not found aliens, or living beings, on Mars, there are many other reasons to study it. Though it isn’t a very hospitable planet now, some scientists believe that long ago there may have been a version of life on Mars. The largest volcano in our solar system is on Mars, Scientists want to know whether Mars has a molten or liquid, core. The possibility of mining valuable minerals and ore is another reason for interest in Mars. In the future, there could be trips to extract these minerals. The minerals would have to be brought back to Earth in a special ship. The ship would be a kind of space barge. However, scientists will refrain from taking too much away from Mars.
