Space is all around you!

space - An element of art that refers to the distance or area between, around, above, below, or within things. It can be described as two-dimensional or three-dimensional; as flat, as positive or negative

Positive space refers to the object

Negative space is the area around the object

• Use 2 pieces of colored paper to create an example of positive and negative space.

• Draw a shape on a piece of paper. Be creative! Try something interesting!
