Jigsaw Activity
•Everyone select one puzzle piece from the bag but do not look at it.
•Take 5 minutes to find your match.

Proposal
This year the Instructional Leadership Team has decided to focus on vocabulary development for student growth and success. There is a direct relationship between vocabulary growth and academic achievement. In order to build enthusiasm for this school-wide endeavor, A Night With Words has been offered as the vehicle for inspiring students, parents, and staff.

Demographics
Early Childhood
• Literacy Activates that include how people live (Il Standard 16.Akc)
• Students in Pre-School learned this year about China.
• Mask making promoted comprehension.
Primary
• In 1st grade, they are studying clothes. This class used fabric paper and made representations of different clothing types. The activity supports the Common Core Standards of interpreting words.

•Group Activities with movement every half hour.
•Goody Bags (7:00 pm)

Organizational Design
Parking Lot for Committees
• Planning: Secure funding, Create Flyers, Collect Responses, Establish Schedule, & Select Appropriate Classrooms.
• Volunteers: Attend Event (Set-up, Facilitators of Activities, Relief Support, Greeters, Security and Clean-up).
• Financial Supports: Monetary, supplies, Activity Materials, & Prizes.
