• Remember, a form of à is often used after the verb aller before a place is mentioned (because you go to a place).

• What I like is . . . .• Ce qu(e) is a relative pronoun
that occurs before a SUBJECT and a VERB. It means “what.”
• You can make this expression negative: Ce que je n’aime pas c’est . . . .

• What I prefer is . . . .
• Remember that préférer is a grandma’s boot verb.
• Ce que acts as the direct object.

• What I like is . . . .
• The verb plaire = to be pleasing to.
• Ce qui is also a relative pronoun. It occurs before a VERB.
• You can make this expression negative: Ce qui ne me plaît pas, c’est (de) . . . .

• A reflexive verb is an action that a person does to himself / herself.
• Think about what you see when you look in the mirror: your reflection.

• A reflexive pronoun MUST be used with a reflexive verb to indicate that the action is being done to the person and not to someone else.• Je me lave. (I wash myself.)
• Je lave le bébé. (I wash the baby.)

• Je me lève à six heures.• Tu te baignes dans la piscine?• Il se promène sur la plage.• Nous nous* habillons avant de partir.• Vous vous* amusez à la boum?• Ils se couchent vers onze heures du
soir. The first nous / vous is the subject pronoun. The second one is the
reflexive pronoun. You have to have both.
