2 Sleep Mode
When you are not using the printer, always leave the power on and put the printer into the sleep mode. If you do not put the
printer into the sleep mode, the ink in its interior could settle out and/or coagulate, causing poor image quality or printer failure.
If you set the printer's sleep mode, the printer performs the following operation.
• Automatic Head cleaning is performed after the time set in the Timer Setting Menu has elapsed.
• Some of the ink inside the printer is circulated (every hour).
• Refills a small amount of ink (once a week).
Important!
• If you are using 6-color set model, do not leave the printer in Sleep mode for more than seven days. If the printer is going to be in Sleep mode for more
than seven days, perform “Storing for a long time” P.97 on operation manual, and then turn the power OFF.
• If you are using 4-color set model and the printer is going to be in Sleep mode for more than one week, shake the ink cartridges once one week has passed.
[1] Make sure that the printer’s operating condition is as follows:
• Printing or other operation is not in progress.
• Front cover is closed.
• There is ample amount of ink in the ink cartridges.
• There is enough free space in the waste fluid bottle.
Important!
