A member of the Senior Management Team tasked to make key strategic decisions that favor the strategic development of the organization.

Nationalization of international positions which was part of the HR Country strategy. Involved in the opening of two new bases in the mission-Kapenguria and Dadaab by
analyzing and addressing the staffing needs, conducting recruitments and orientation of new staff.
Actively involved in seeking legal counsel on matters concerning employment contracts,
disciplinary matters, governance and compliance.
Worked with the Regional Training Centre in addressing staff training needs of staff both in Nairobi and the field.

Human Resources Manager, March 2009 to March 2011
Achievements:
Structured and implemented policies in the areas of benefits packages, incentives and
orientation of new employees.
Developed and implemented staff training programs through induction courses, performance appraisals and safety and security measures and processes.
Designed the organizations first South Sudan HR manual.
Negotiated for medical cover for the national staff and helped in the implementation of
the new health policies and procedures.

Achievements
Established a successful orientation program for all new expatriate staff that
incorporated the participation of different departments in the organization-Finance, Logistics and Procurement, Health, HR and administrative departments. More than 50 new staff went through this program.
Worked closely with the Field Support Unit from the head office (USA) to develop an
orientation manual that was given to all new staff prior to their travel to South Sudan.
Created staff movement schedules for over 50 expatriate staff working in Southern
Sudan. As a result proper planning and tracking of staff movement in terms of R&R, vacation time, and home leave was established.
