Leaving&the&comfort&of&deep&dish&pizza,&the&Chicago&Bulls,&and&Da&Bears,&Liam&Lawson!arrived&at&Connecticut&College&with&the&foresight&of&majoring&in&Music.&Seeking&to&become&engaged&with&on4campus&activities,&Liam&joined&the&Chamber&Choir&during&the&spring&of&his&junior&year.&Choir&has&provided&an&exhilarating,&high4adrenaline&alternative&to&the&rugby&field,&allowing&the&time&and&space&to&blow&off&steam&while&bonding&with&fellow&chorus&members&on&a&weekly&basis.&In&July,&Liam&will&return&to&his&beloved&Chicago&to&teach&History&at&Pritzker&College&Prep&while&earning&a&Masters&in&Education.&&Philip!Pacelli&is&a&Music&(vocal&performance&concentration)&and&Economics&double&major.&He&has&sung&with&Connecticut&Lyric&Opera&and&recently&gave&a&solo&recital.&Philip&is¤tly&Co4Chair&of&the&Music&Department&Student&Advisory&Board,&President&of&Chamber&Choir,&and&Musical&Director&for&Conn's&all4male&a&cappella&group,&Co&Co&Beaux.&Next&year,&he&will&be&attending&law&school,&with&the&aspiration&of&pursuing&an&Entertainment&Law&career.&&At&Connecticut&College&I&(Victoria!Pardo)&found&my&love&of&architectural&preservation&and&urban&planning.&Amazing&professors&contributed&to&these&passions.&After&college&I&plan&to&go&to&Graduate&School&for&both&of&those&fields.&Connecticut&College&has&taken&part&in&molding&who&I&am&and&who&I&will&be&in&the&future.&!&My&name&is&Olivia!VillalonGIglesias,&I&am&a&senior&Human&Development&major&and&am&nearing&completion&of&the&Elementary&Education&certification&program.&I&studied&abroad&in&Copenhagen,&Denmark&my&junior&year&and&student4taught&6th&grade&in&Norwich,&CT&this&semester.&I&have&been&a&part&of&Chamber&Choir&my&entire&time&at&Conn,&and&have&taken&voice&lessons&with&both&Samantha&Talmadge&and&Maks&Ivanov.&I&have&loved&being&a&part&of&the&Music&department,&and&I&feel&it&has&truly&enriched&my&experience&here.&I&find&working&with&so&many&talented&singers&and&teachers&inspiring&and&I&hope&to&integrate&that&love&of&music&into&my&own&future&teaching&at&the&elementary&level.&I&want&to&thank&the&Choir&and&my&professors&here&for&a&wonderful&experience44it's&been&amazing!&&Anna!Volpe&is&a&senior&psychology&major,&music&performance&minor,&and&a&PICA&scholar&(which&means&program&in&community&action)&in&the&Holleran&Center&for&Community&Action&and&Public&Policy.&&Besides&from&singing&in&chamber&choir&while&at&Conn,&she&has&also&taken&voice&lessons&with&Jurate&and&recently&had&her&senior&voice&recital.&&During&this&past&year,&Anna&has&been&working&on&her&honors&thesis&within&the&Psychology&department&focusing&on&stigma&of&mental&illness&and&how&such&stigma&can&be&reduced&through&the&performing&arts.&&Anna&eventually&wants&to&attend&social&work&graduate&school&in&NYC&and&will&also&continue&singing&on&the&side&with&her&band&that&is&based&in&Brooklyn,&NY,&called&the&Paisley&Fields,&that&she¤tly&manages&and&sings&back4up&for.&&&&&&&&&I&(Virginia!Blair!West)&am&from&Arlington,&Massachusetts&and&am&a&Sociology&Major.&Music&has&been&a&part&of&my&life&since&I&was&a&little&girl;&I&have&been&singing&all&my&life&and&play&guitar&and&piano&and&love&writing&music.&I&am&very&sad&to&leave&Conn&where&I&have&had&the&opportunity&to&participate&in&so&much&music!&I&am&the&president&of&The&Williams&Street&Mix&an&Acapella&group&on&campus.&I&am&moving&to&New&York&a&few&days&after&graduation&and&cannot&wait&to&start&working&as&an&associate&at&an&advertising&agency.
