Joined as a sophomore and worked my way up.

Traveled to Phoenix, Arizona for National Convention in 2010. Chapter won 2nd highest award, Best Chapter Management.

Interned at a human rights NGO, Black Sash, in the summer of 2011 in Cape Town, South Africa

Gained recognition by the University of Kentucky for my blog, Writing South Africa

Earned a International Programs Understanding from the College of Arts and Sciences.

Accepted into the 2012 Teach for America Corps

Only 15% out of the 50,000 applicants get accepted.

Working to close the achievement gap in lower income schools.

Will be teaching Special Education in Nashville Tennessee for the upcoming 2 years.
