MARCIASIEDI MARCIASIEDI is a system of seats with variable configurations for urban spaces and in particular for the context of Rome where there is a lot of reconstruction of existing buildings. It is designed by recycling the boards of the pedestrian paths, which are dismitted after reconstructional works. In this way, MARCIASIEDI reintroduces the same material in the same urban space, but with a different function.

MARCIASIEDI is a product which belongs to the city either under a daily or historical profile: it is a sign which belongs to the collective imagery. Thanks to its strong identity, as well as, its flexible nature, Marciasiedi fits everywhere: central and surround areas, green and urban spaces.

NOW HOW IT COULD BE

THE FOREST OF PRODUCTS: THE FOREST OF PRODUCTS is a study about an alternative way to organize supermarkets. The starting point of this study was my observation that inherently through their design, supermarkets have the tendency to imposed superficial values of our society through advertising and controlling the passage of people, on a subconscious level. The aim of such a study is to look for solutions that can have the tendency to empower people and to be aware about their choices within the everyday grocery purchasing experience.

The size of the colums could be related to the output of the products. The size of the colums could be related to the output of the products.

A floor path could guide the customers amongst the products in a better comunicative way, therefore not guiding the custode through aisles that they dont really need to go.

The hierarchy of products in supermarkets follows the logic of the eye-level. In such a way, customers are pushed to buy what marketing wants...is it possible dispose the products avoiding the marketing logic in order to let the customers free to choose what they really need? is it possible to lenghten the sight view?

PLAYNERGY Nowadays, the problem of over-consumption of electric energy is louder and louder in western societies. Within the context of the household, PLAYENERGY helps to decrease electric consumption by ringing when the amount of energy used in one room is too high or to low (stand-by). In such a way it advices the user and keeps him/her aware about electric consumption.

PLAYNERGYPLAYNERGY offers people the possibility to have discounts on their electricity bill by living them the possibility to visualise how much Energy they are consuming and therefore allowing them the consume within a given amount. Such a chance can be monitored through a web-site, where it is possible to check out in real time the amount of their electric consumption and create a friends network who are accessing the same information. Their discount increases according to the amount of friends who consume within that amount. Thus, PLAYNERGY pushes to cooperate, not to compete!

BANANAS’ STAMPAs banana’s peel changes colour when a pressure occurs on it, why don’t we use such a natural feature and stamp the information directly on the peel instead of using unnecessary stickers?

In welchem Land???

„Food and other stories“ gibt Menschen die Möglichkeit hieran teilzunehmen.

Elena Leurini, designerin, und Jack in the Box, Verein für Entwicklung und Erprobung innovativer Modelle der Beschäftigungsförde-rung, organisieren das Event „Food and other stories“ _ The experience of the lifecycle of food.

JACK IN THE BOX.

FOOD & OTHER STORIESThe event is composed by a gastronomic and an informational experience, which will run parallel and fulfil each other: people will be involved physically and emotionally in the story of their meal, visualizing and experiencing what is otherwise taken for granted.
