    Classroom Rules0 1. No talking during the announcements, or when the teacher is talking .

    During class time, if the noise level becomes too loud, a no talking rule willbe issued.

    0 2. NO CELL PHONES . They should be stored in your bag, out of sight. Phoneswill be taken up if necessary.

    0 3. Be respectful of everyone in the classroom . Bullying / teasing / horseplay WILL NOT be tolerated, period .

    0 4. No profanity or inappropriate conversations, such as politics, religion,etc.

    0 5. No food or drinks allowed in the classroom , except for water. Please eat or drink beforehand during your breaks.

    0 6. Be in the class on time . Do not linger outside. If you are not in the seat when the bell rings, you are tardy.

    0 7. Always come in ready to listen or work . Sitting around doing nothing isnot acceptable; there is always something to do.

    0 8. Finally, maintain a positive attitude! Positivity is contagious. Even on thetoughest days, keep your chin up and smile; it does wonders!

    Art Rules0

    1. Listen and follow directions promptly. An important part of art instruction comes from observation.0 2. Keep an open mind and determined attitude . Remember that art

    takes time and practice!0 3. Use art tools responsibly . Be safe with sharp instruments. Clean up

    materials and areas as directed. Once a tool is broken or damaged, itsgone for good. Intentional neglect or destruction of materials willnegatively impact your grade.

    0 4. Respect your fellow students space and artwork. Do not touchsomeone elses work without permission. Vandalism will be treated as a

    serious offense.0 5. NO MATERIALS ARE TO LEAVE THIS ROOM WITHOUT EXPLICIT

    PERMISSION FROM THE TEACHER . Doing so is considered stealing.

    0 6. Art is a precious resource for exploring creativepossibilities! Do not waste this privilege!

    Expectations/Grading0 I expect you to give your best effort every

    day. It is only fair. Assignments and projects areto be completed on time . Excused absences/etc.means finishing works outside of class time .

    0 Minor Grades (about 20%) :0 Attendance and participation (in discussions).0 Daily exercises/classwork/homework.

    0 Major Grades (about 80%) :0 EFFORT . This is key in getting a good grade!!!0 Final Projects for each lesson.0 Final Exam in December.

    If you want to take Visual Arts II, you must make a B or higher!
