I would either accompany you on the flight or meet you in the airport once you collect your luggage and get through the immigration checks. There is a nice hotel in Tehuacan where you can stay and Jeanne Austin and I will get you to San Marcos. You should expect the trip to be at least four days; two days to travel and two days there. You would, of course, be welcome to stay longer. If you plan to go, you need to be able to handle stairs and walk on slightly uneven ground. Also, since you will be in a different area (with different germs), I would suggest you do not go if your immune system is compromised. At the beginning of 2015 VCC had committed to provide monthly financial support to 10 mission-aries. Over the course of the year the number of missionaries we support has grown to 14. A list-ing of all 14 can be found in the VCC’s Monthly Missionary Support pamphlet. The most current news and updates may be found on the Missions

Bulletin Board in the Fellowship Hall, along with a new wall-size world map which will pinpoint the missionary locations.

At the Wednesday evening service on December 9, Hans and Jennifer Anderson were present to speak about their ministry. The Andersons serve with European Christian Mission International (ECMI) as church planters in Oropesa del Mar, Spain. They spoke of their efforts to share the gospel with the locals in this small town which is 15% Muslim. Hans, who was recently elected to a position on the ECMI National Board, ex-pressed their thankfulness for our prayer and financial sup-port. They have several prayer requests upon their return to Spain:

...their need to quickly find an affordable home to live in; ...a smooth transition for their children, Jack & Ellee, leaving friends and starting back to school; and ...that God opens doors for ministry and Bible study opportu-nities.

The Hayes family, who returned from their ministry in Russia last year, have now resettled in the Northwest. They now work as Mission Strategists for Storyline Mis-sions, a spin-off of their prior organization Center for Mission Mobilization. Embracing 1 Thessaloni-ans 4:11-12, the Hayes are now self supporting

‘Tent Makers.’ This now allows all financial support they receive to go di-rectly into their ministry efforts. Steve and Christine are very appreciative of our prayer and financial support.

Because of the grace shown by VCC through your generous gifts, the Mis-sions Committee has approved several year-end special distributions.

All 14 of our monthly supported missionaries will receive an additional year-end distribution in appreciation of their ministry efforts.

Luis and Bibiana Chavez head up an organization that promotes work among indigenous translators throughout Mexico. A distribution to Luis was approved to help cover medical costs of a needed surgery. Pray for a successful procedure and a quick recovery.

John Coleman is a missionary and church planter on the Tohono O’o-dham Reservation. A distribution was approved to provide John with logis-tical support for his current ministry in the village of Choulic. Please pray for ministry opportunities for John.

The Missions Committee approved a distribution in support of New Tribes ministry efforts in Hauna, Papua New Guinea, to cover the cost of three laptop computers and a printer for a Bible Training School. It is interesting to note that most of the supplies to Hauna will arrive by canoe. Pray for a safe and dry delivery.

Ray and Elizabeth Wosinski joined the church on November 20th. Ray was search-ing for a church while Elizabeth was ‘attending’ church via television ministries. He found Vistoso Community and while Elizabeth was going through cancer treatments, the congregation at VCC was praying for her. After completion of her treatment, Eliza-beth came to meet these people and was overwhelmed by their compassion. They both love the people at VCC and how the music, choir and message connect together flawlessly each week.

Ray and Elizabeth moved to Tucson from Wisconsin, where their daughter and granddaughter live. They were looking for a warmer climate and love the heat in Tucson. Ray is a retired CPA, mainly in the banking industry. Elizabeth worked many jobs as a clerk in the courts, mostly small claims and civil cases.

Ray enjoys physical exercise; he has run marathons in the past. Elizabeth’s favorite pastime is reading. Please

join in welcoming Ray and Elizabeth to Vistoso Community Church.

Did you see 'em? Did you? All those lights—and flowers—and decorations! And all to celebrate Jesus' arrival here on earth more than two thousand years ago! What a wonderful time of the year this is. Oh, I know it's kind of cool outside, but the marvel, the sheer marvel of the annual time. I'd pray down on my knees (if I had knees) that the scoffers—the Bible calls them 'mockers'—might share in the real

meaning of the season. Oh, and I got that term—mockers—from one of the Bibles in the 220s section of the library. Sure, I digest (!) the things I—ah—examine every day. Did you know that there is a complete set of J. Vernon McGee's commentaries at the end of the shelves as you walk into the library? And I hope you will make it a habit to walk into the library. I mean, gee whiz, there is everything from Christian fiction and biography to history to theology to devotions to…well, you get the idea. Come on in and look for yourself! I promise not to jump out (as if I could 'jump out') and scare you.

The Men’s and Women’s Tuesday morning Bible Study in Acts will resume on January 5.

A four-week study in the book of Jonah has also been added to our Bible Study schedule and will be held in the Conference Room. This new class will also be start-ing on January 5 at 9:30 am. Jo-nah Study Guides can be picked up in the church Office. Please complete lesson 1a before the first lesson.

This winter VCC is providing Saturday evening services beginning at 5:00 pm for the months of January, February, and March. In March, a committee will review the attendance at these services and de-termine whether we should continue holding the Saturday evening services after Easter.

Last year, we ran a test to see whether Saturday evening services relieved the pressure—for seating and parking—on Sunday morning. Last year’s test was successful despite the fact that we did no advertising outside the church.

This year to see whether there is interest in the Saturday evening services outside of our congregation, we have prepared a flyer to circulate to a wide selection of homes in our area advertising the Satur-day services.

There are a number of areas that require support in order for us to provide this Saturday evening ministry—everything from greeting and ushering to fellowship and opening and closing the building. If you would be willing to help for one of the months, please sign up on the volun-teer poster outside of the Church office.
