Paper's Title: “Modelling and Simulation of Rectangular Micro-strip Patch Antenna for L Band
Applications.”
Name: (Sr. Asst. Prof., Dept. of ECE (JIET Co-ed)Mr. Bablu Kumar Singh,
The paper describes the design and simulation of rectangular micro strip patch antenna in L
band for its attractive usage and applications. The design is performed by taking thickness of
1.59mm and FR4 substrate with dielectric constant of 4.3, and frequency 1.66GHz. In the recent
years, huge development in communication systems require the development of low cost,
minimal weight, low prole antennas that are capable of maintaining high performance over a wide spectrum of
frequency. This technological trend has focused much effort on the design of a Micro-strip patch antenna. The
proposed antenna design is on different dielectric substrate and analyse the result of all operating frequency
between 1GHz to 2GHz at 1.66GHz operating frequency. At this frequency the performance obtained is good and
efcient.
Paper's Title: 'Make in India-Scheme for Makeover India'
Name: (Asst. Prof. (Dept. of Humanities & Social Sciences (JIETSETG))Mrs. Anshu Mathur
PM Narendra Modi launched the “Make in India” campaign on September 25th, 2014. It is
designed to facilitate investment (both domestic and foreign) in India, fostering innovation,
intensify skill development, generate employment opportunities, preventing brain drain. In order
to make India a manufacturing hub, its human resource and nancial assistance will play a major
role. Men and Money being the two most vital organs of a business demands careful
capitalization and continuous innovation.
The major objective behind the initiative is to focus on job creation and skill enhancement in 25 sectors of the
economy. The initiative also aims at high quality standards and minimizing the impact on the environment. The
initiative hopes to attract capital and technological investment in India. "Zero Defect Zero Effect" is a slogan coined
by Prime Minister of India, Modi which signies production mechanisms wherein products have no defects and
the process through which a product is made has zero adverse environmental and ecological effects The slogan
also aims to prevent products developed in India from being rejected by the global market.
Paper's Title: “A Comparative Study of Lossy Image Compression by Embedding n-
MM & n-TV Method in Lossy Image Compression Process”
Name: (Asst. Prof., CSE (JIET Co-ed)) Mr. Nitesh Agarwal
An artist draws an image by using some brushes, colours, pencils etc. but in digital world an
image can be dened by means of pixel that are arranged in a 2D dimensional graphic system.
Hence a digital image can be dened as a 2D function (x,) where x, are known as pixel coordinate
value & f is known as pixel value or amplitude at pair(x,y). In digital device these pixels occupy
22
some memory to store depending on quality of image, for ex. a 2 bit image require 2 bit to store a single pixel
similarly a 4 bit, 8 bit, 16 bit, 24 bit, 32 bit image require 4 bit, 8 bit, 16 bit, 24 bit, 32 bit digital value to store a single
value respectively. Digital devices & computational resources have limited communication & storage capabilities.
Because of these limitations, digital multimedia data need to compress. For example, if there are multiple cameras
are connected in a network for communication. The images are then captured by camera. They are required to be
compressed in order to use proper bandwidth and for synchronized communication. Similarly, local computer
system has limited storage capacity and uncompressed multimedia data requires high volume of storage to store.
Hence multimedia data like images, videos need to be compressed for many purposes. Image Compression
Process uses two techniques to compress image lossless image compression. Standard Compression Process
such as JPEG uses Huffman encoding & GIF images use LZW Encoding Technique. Encoding techniques gives
high compression ratio when input sequences are in repeated order. Therefore, we embed two methods in Lossy
image compression process. The rst one is n-MM method and the second method is the n-TV method. Both
methods are applied before the encoding technique so that they could generate a repeated sequence for
encoding process. This paper gives a comparative study of Lossy image compression process by embedding
these two methods.
Paper's Title: Lean Production System: A Review (Paper presented at UGC National
Conference (NCACIM III), March 18, 19 2016)
Names: Mr. R.S Chhatrawat (Associate Professor and DY. HOD, ME (JIET Co-ed)
Mr. Abhishek Dixit (Assistant Professor (Dept. of ME (JIET Co-ed)
We know that wastes are being generated by all manufacturing activities necessarily. It is not
possible to covert 100% material and energy inputs into nal outputs. Some inputs ends up
becoming waste. When the waste generated exceeds the maximum assimilative capacity of the
environment, it becomes pollution. The paper focuses on LEAN production system, which aims
at elimination of wastage. “Lean manufacturing” is a leading manufacturing philosophy which is
being applied in many industrial sectors viz. small and large scale where improving product
quality, reducing production costs, and being “rst to market” and quick to respond to customer
needs are critical to competitiveness and success. Lean manufacturing focus on creating a
continual improvement culture that engages employees in reducing the intensity of time,
materials, and capital necessary for meeting a customer's needs. As lean manufacturing focuses on elimination of
non-value added activities and wastage from the industries; it thereby improves the quality of the environment
also.

Seminar's Topic :"The Effectuality Of Treated Waste Water On The Initial Growth of
Plants"
Guide's Name : (Asst. Prof - Dept. of Chemistry, JIET) Dr. Garima Goswami
Names of the Students : (I Year, JIET) Daksh Sharma & Deepak Agarwal
India is one of the few countries in the world which is endowed with abundant land and
water resources. Due to its geographical situation and tropical conditions, India
experiences vast spatial and temporary variation in the rainfall. About one third of the
country's area is drought prone, which includes parts of Rajasthan. Scarcity of water for
irrigation in southern Rajasthan is a big challenge for the scientic community as well as
policy makers. In the present scenario the irrigation water for crops comes from water
bodies which has water from waste water treatment plants and many a times untreated
water having solid waste including pathogenic bacteria and other microorganisms.
Recycled irrigation water if not treated properly for pathogens may result into serious
problems for the growing plants in the nurseries or crops in the elds. This water
therefore should be disinfected before using it for irrigation purposes. Chlorine in some form is generally
used as disinfectant for making water pathogen free. In this paper the effect of added chlorine on the
growth of plants is studied. Potted plants were watered with chlorinated water having different
concentrations and their growth pattern was studied. The effect was studied for different plant parameters.

out for packing. After some time, packet comes out on a slider.
Project's Name: “'Automated Time Table Generator”.
Names of the Students: (Final Year - CSE, JIETSETG) Moomal Bissa and Anjali Golani
Although most of the college administrative work has been computerized, the lecture time-table
scheduling is still mostly done manually due to its technical difculties. The manual scheduling of lecture
time-table requires considerable time and efforts. The objective is to design a software to implement a
semester course time-table by assigning time slots and rooms to a given set of courses to run that
semester under given constraints. The constraints include avoiding clashes of time slots and rooms
23
Projects & Seminar by Students, JGI
assigning appropriate rooms and appropriate number of slots and contact hours to the courses etc.
Seminar's Topic: “Eyegaze Communication System”
Name of the Student: (Final Year - ECE, JIET) Varsha Khatri under the guidance of
Mr. Bablu Kumar Singh (Sr. Asst. Prof. - ECE, JIET)
The Eyegaze System is a communication and control system for people with complex
physical disabilities. We can run the system with our eyes by looking at control keys
displayed on a screen; a person can synthesize speech, control his environment (lights,
appliances, etc.), like a person can operate a telephone, run computer software, operate
a computer mouse, and access internet and e-mails. Eyegaze Systems are being used
to write books, attend school and enhance the quality of life of people with disabilities all over the world. It is
a direct-select vision-controlled communication and control system. It was developed in Fairfax, Virginia,
by LC Technologies, Inc. The eld of human computer interaction has been undergoing a new renaissance
lately. While many companies have, and continue to spend millions to develop highly visually appealing
GUIs and state-of-art interaction systems for the common users since the inception of desktops, the
development of interactive systems for the disabled has taken a kick start relatively recently. The Eyegaze
systems are one of the most pivotal inventions in this context. It is a communication and control system for
people with complex physical disabilities. Only requirement to operate the Eyegaze is the control of atleast
one eye with good vision and
ability to keep head fairly still.
Seminar's Topic : “Precast Fabrication”
Name of the Student : (Final Year, CE)Saurabh Bhati
The concept of precast (also known as “prefabricated”) construction includes those
buildings where the majority of structural components are standardized and produced in
plants in a location away from the building, and then transported to the site for assembly.
These components are manufactured by industrial methods based on mass production
in order to build a large number of buildings in a short time at low cost. The main features
of this construction process are as follows:
The division and specialization of the human workforce.
The use of tools, machinery, and other equipment, usually automated, in the production of standard,
interchangeable parts and products.
"Prefabrication" is an industrialized construction method whereby mass-produced components are
assembled into buildings with the aid of cranes and other lifting and handling appliances. The work of
building is carried out in two stages manufacture of the components in the factory or workshop, and
erection on the site. Prefabricated structural components made of concrete are referred to as "Precast
units" ("Precast members" or precast elements" are terms alternatively used), signifying that they are cast in
advance and given time to harden and acquire strength before being taken to the actual construction site
for erection. Construction methods which make use of prefabricated components are collectively referred
to as "Prefabricated construction".
