Mission Statement
Th e Department of Athletics at Tennessee State University was established, andexists today, in order to provide an opportunity for student-athletes to partici-pate in a broad-based program of intercollegiate athletics, which is inextricablylinked to the academic mission of the university. Th e Department will operate ina manner consistent with the ideas and purposes of the university, NCAA andconference in its pursuit of educational excellence and in the mental, physical,and ethical development of the student-athlete.
Th e TSU Athletic Department will have a continuous and compelling linkage tothe educational mission of the university. All programs of the Department willbe conducted with a commitment to the policies, general mission, and internalcontrols of the university as well as a commitment to gender and racial equity.In addition, the Department recognizes its mandate to provide fi rst-rate athleticcompetition for the thousands of students, alumni and other Tennesseans whosupport the intercollegiate athletic programs of TSU with their attendance atevents, their enthusiasm, and their fi nancial support.

Visiting Team Information
• OFFICIALSOfficials are assigned by the Ohio Valley Conference (or the home team for non-conference sports/contests). Contractual agreements are honored for split crews if applicable.
• PRESS/MEDIAStatistics will be provided for all events by the Media Relations Staff. Contact Media Relations Director, for press row/press box arrangements 615.963.1867.
Media Relations Services will provide play-by-play each quarter, halftime stats, final and individual stats including defensive stats, and other reports as requested. Light snacks will be available. For credentials, lineups, quotes and additional information contact Media Relations Director, 615.963.1867.
Football Media Information: Credentials will be issued to legitimate media covering the con-test. Credential arrangements will be made through Media Relations Director 615.963.1867.
Marching Band Information: Coordination of Marching Band visitation 615.963.5350. All visiting Bands will be inspected by the Metro Police Bomb Squad before entering Nissan Stadium. Coordinating inspection times will be arranged prior to visit.
Parking: Parking: Media parking is coordinated through Zekeya A. Harrison, Director, Media Relations, 615.963.1867, [email protected].
Radio Stations: Please contact Zekeya A. Harrison, Director, Media Relations, 615.963.1867 for equipment/setup and unloading information. The official visitor’s station will be provided a courtesy (POTS) line by the Big Blue Network. Other stations will be charged a rights fee and must order ISDN lines through AT&T.
• SPIRIT GROUPS/BANDVisiting teams should notify Clinton Gray, Game Operations Manager, if they plan to bring spirit groups or pep band 615.424.4337 or [email protected].
• TICKETS/PASSES LISTVisiting teams must present a pass list and complimentary tickets three hours prior to game time to Zellina Anderson, Ticket Manager. This is in accordance with NCAA rules or by con-tract agreement. Complimentary tickets will be forwarded to your ticket manager for football and basketball. For other sports where admission is charged, a pass list is necessary per NCAA rules. For ticket information call 615.963.5481.
• Nissan Stadium Personal Bags/PursesThe Nissan Stadium policy strongly encourage fans to not bring any type of bags, but outlined what is permissible. Fans will be able to carry the following style and size bag, package, or con-tainer at stadium plaza areas, stadium gates, or when approaching queue lines of fans awaiting entry into the stadium:
• Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12.” or
• One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
• Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options.
• An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.

Proceed south on I-65 to I-24 east and exit at James Robertson Parkway. Th is is now Interstate Drive, stay in the right lane. Go through fi rst traffi c light (crossing over James Robertson Parkway) and through the second traffi c light (crossing over Woodland Street). Shoney’s is on the corner of Woodland Street and In-terstate Drive. Take the next right onto Russell Street. Turn left onto 2nd street; follow directional signs to parking lots.
From South of NashvilleProceed north on I-65 to I-40 east to I-24 west and exit on the Shelby Street exit. Go left at the light onto Shelby Street. Proceed over the bridge and through the light, to 2nd street, follow directional signs to park-ing lots.
From East of NashvilleProceed west on I-40 to I-24 west and exit at Shelby Street. Go left at the light onto Shelby Street over the bridge and through the light. Go right on 2nd street; follow directional signs to parking lots.
From West of NashvilleProceed east on I-40 to I-65 north to I-24 east and exit at James Robertson Parkway. Th is is now Interstate Drive, stay in the right lane. PARKING
FOOTBALLNissan Stadium Team bus must be inspected in Lot M/G by Bomb Squad three hours prior to parking underneath Nissan Sta-dium.
Equipment Truck must be inspected in Lot M/G by Bomb Squad and parked underneath Nissan Stadium at Bay 4 of Loading dock. If equipment truck is moved from Nissan Stadium prior to game, truck must be reinpected before entrance to Nissan Stadium.
Special instructions: no food delivery is allowed in Nissan Stadium. Post game meal to be delivered to Lot M.
Hale Stadium and Gentry CenterEnter Walter S. Davis Blvd. turn left at entrance. Team Bus drop and park in front of Olympic Statue.
PRACTICEWalk through only.Tennis shoes only. (no cleats)
BASKETBALLAthletes are dropped off at Gentry Center.Players will enter Blue Door (left of ticket window). Buses will park at Soft ball Park-ing Lot LL
VolleyballDrop Athletes off at Kean Hall. Buses for games can use the Albion & Clare (Lot A) parking lot during games.
