Fall Mediterranean &Holy Land Cruise Tour

Days 1 and 2 - Friday & Sat, Oct 26/27 Depart the US for Italy. Depart from your home city and travel to Rome. Upon arrival we will board our bus for a city tour before arriving to our hotel to rest from our travels. Tonight we’ll enjoy a welcome dinner at the hotel. (D)

Day 3 - Sunday, Oct 28 LDS Church services and LDS Temple site visitThis morning we’ll attend a local sacrament meeting before journeying to the LDS Temple site (the temple is not expected to be open until 2019). This afternoon will be yours to enjoy the city at your leisure. (B)

Day 4 - Monday, Oct 29 Vatican and Colosseum visitToday we will spend the morning at the Vatican - home of the Pope, St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. Next, we will visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Colosseum, for a guided tour around the most visited site in Rome. We will continue to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. (B)

Day 5 – Tuesday, Oct 30 Board Celebrity Constellation This morning we’ll board our home for the next 12 nights - the Celebrity Constellation. Once onboard take time to relax and explore the ship and all it has to offer. Tonight we will meet as a group for dinner. (B,L,D)

Day 6 – Wednesday, Oct 31 Fun day at seaToday explore the ship and the many activities available to you. Today we’ll meet as a group to get to know each other better. (B,L,D)

Day 7- Thursday, Nov 1 Chania, Crete, GreeceChaniá is the second largest city of Crete, and one of the most beautiful. It’s the site of the ancient Minoan settlement the Greeks called Cydonia (Kydonia), which was mentioned in Virgil’s Aeneid. The site has been continuously inhabited from Neolithic times-at least 5000 years.

Day 9, Saturday, Nov 3 Haifa, Israel This spectacular city rises dramatically from the Mediterranean on terraced hillsides, which culminate with Mount Carmel. From that viewpoint all the world seems to lie at your feet. On a clear day you can see north all the way to the Lebanese border, as well as the snowcapped Mount Hermon to the east.

PRIVATE 3 DAY SHORE EXCURSION OFFERED FOR BOTH ISRAEL PORTS: We will visit Haifa’s Bahai Gardens for an overview of the port and the countryside. We travel east to Galilee where Christ started his ministry, called his apostles and performed many miracles. Tonight we will have a group dinner onboard. (B,L,D)

Day 10, Sunday, Nov 4 Ashdod, Jerusalem Israel Sacred to three major religions, Jerusalem is one of the world’s oldest cities, with a history dating back to 4000 BC. Gaze at the Western Wall, which is all that’s left of the fabled Second Temple, or watch the sunlight bounce off the golden-roofed Dome of the Rock or the shimmering silver al-Aqsa Mosque.

PRIVATE SHORE EXCURSION:DAY 2: In Jersusalem we will visit the sites of Christ’s birth, miracles and his ultimate suffering in Gethsemane followed by his death and resurrection. We’ll stay in a hotel in the city tonight to maximize and enhance our visit. Tonight after dinner we will make a special trip to the olivewood stores for shopping for that special souvenir. Day 14, Thursday, Nov 8 Athens, GreeceOnce home to the world’s most powerful and civilized empires, Athens is now the world’s foremost archaeological playground.

PRIVATE SHORE EXCURSION OPTION: Today is all about Paul and Acts 17. Our private guide will give us a tour of the city including the Syntagma Square and the Olympic stadium but it will be when we head to the Acropolis to see the Parthenon and Mars Hill that your heart will start to race. We’ll hear of Paul’s sermon about the unknown Gods and climb to the top of the Parthenon and walk around the monumental ruins of the UNESCO listed site. (B,L,D)

Day 15, Friday, Nov 9 Fun Day at SeaToday enjoy sleeping in or rise with the sun. This afternoon we’ll again meet to talk about the missionary journeys of Peter and Paul in the area. (B,L,D)

Day 16, Saturday, Nov 10 NaplesFramed by Mount Vesuvius, this 2,800 year-old port city is chock full of historical sites, churches, and museums that make it an incredible place for you to explore.

PRIVATE SHORE EXCURSION OPTION: Today our private group will start our touring at the amazing town of Pompeii and discover this city hidden for hundreds of years under the ash of Mt Vesuvius. After a lunch stop we will travel back to the coast and discover why the Amalfi Coast captures many with is pastel colored towns and thriving fishing port framed by the turquoise waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
