This is a hard time for many people because shorter hours of daylight affect many of us. Myself included. But I look forward that by next month we will have the shortest day of the year which means more daylight after then. But unfortunately the colder weather will be here for a few months. Some members went as a group to see Ford vs Ferrari and then to dinner after. We all enjoyed the movie, friendship and food. If you have not seen the movie yet I would highly recommend it. It really is an excellent movie. Hope to see you at our December meeting when we will have our yearly elections. We still need a new Secretary and Membership Coordinator. Let me know if you are interested in either position. Barb is busy planning the Holiday Party and is still taking reservations. Information is in newsletter and on our web site. Max Motive has rescheduled their open house. It will be on December 7th. A link will be in the newsletter, on the web and on our GPMC Facebook page. Max Motive also has an event on their Facebook page. Many will be traveling for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Please be careful and drive safely. Have a very Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving and be thankful for everything you have. My saying is I may not have everything I want but I have everything I need. Our January meeting will be on January 8th the second Wednesday of the month since the 1st is a Holiday. Our December meeting will be at Baja Bar and Grill on December 4th. Come early and enjoy dinner with fellow members. Take care and see you soon, Danielle Lane, President, GPMC Don’t forget, when in doubt, check the Club Websit e at gpmc.org before going to meetings, events or cruises, for any announcements regarding inclement weather delays or cancellations.

(Minutes cont’d) Activities: Barb sent out emails regarding the Holiday Party and the movie, Ford vs. Ferrari. GPMC will see the movie at the Waterfront at 1:30 p.m. It runs for 2 hrs. 30 min. You need to buy your ticket in advance through Fandango, afterwards go to dinner at Rock Bottom. The Club volunteered at the Pittsburgh Food Bank last year. They were contacted but their volunteer spots are filled until Jan. We’ll try then. Other suggestions were made for upcoming activities. Jason suggested visiting 3 Dog Garage in Boyertown, Pa. It has rare race cars. It is a long drive so we might want to take a bus. The Club could possibly help with the cost. We could also visit a winery since we will be on a bus. Another suggestion was to visit the Simeone Automotive Museum in Philadelphia. It would be close by to do other things. Jerry suggested a visit to the Railroad Roundhouse which is a building with a circular or semicircular shape used by railways for servicing and restoring locomotives. It is owned by a previous railroad owner. This could possibly be done for the Spring Stampede. Tim S. suggested visiting the Kinzua Railroad Bridge in Mt. Jewett, Pa. Mark Bedel suggested a visit to Gale Halderman Museum in Ohio. Stu also suggested visiting the Thompson Crawford Aviation Museum in Cleveland, Ohio. Jason reported about the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix check presentation of $132,000, a new record, where our club was recognized on stage at the Hofbrauhaus. About 12 club members were able to go. Jason was also recognized with a special flag which only 10 workers receive every year. Our club is well recognized around the area and we are mentioned on the neighborhood Ford Facebook. You can go to the PVGP website and see lots of pictures of our club. Jerry picked up a case of beer with Jason’s car on it and the company donated another case. See him if you want a can. Old Business: Elections are next month and a Secretary and Membership are needed, even if you can’t

do it every month. New Business: Danielle asked for volunteers to be on the Nominating Committee. We will need a new

Secretary and Membership for next year. The GPMC is ordering 250 new decals for the cars. They peel easier and go inside the car. Theresa will take a copy of the one we have now to the company. We don’t want one any smaller. Everyone will get one. Members may buy them if they need more. Mark suggested that we attach one to each new member button to encourage them to pick up their button. Other: The 50/50 was won by Karen. The next meeting will be held at Baja Bar & Grill on Dec. 4th. Stu made a motion to adjourn. Carl seconded it. Meeting adjourned at 8:32 P.M. See you at the movies! Respectfully submitted, Charlyn Mulkey, GPMC Secretary

The following is from member Mark Bedel regarding the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix

I thought you all might be interested in this little PVGP historical note...I was doing some cleaning up and tossing out of some old stuff the other day, and came across a few program samples and dash plaques from the PVGP in its second year and thought the club might be intrigued. A little sidebar, I actually illustrated and designed these back when I was a fledgling designer, and my then future employer, Geyer Printing Company printed them. One of the partners of Geyer Printing, Stan Goldmann was very involved with the small team of Rose Anne Hagerty, (Director of PR), Tony Phelps, (Race Director), Mary Gmiter, (Director of Funding), and Richard Jevon, (Event Chairman), to keep this new event viable. Budgets were a fraction of what they are today, and even with Geyer Printing almost producing these at their cost, they could only afford a two-color cover and black & white interior. The dash plaques however were three color and rather large for dash plaques. I can bring these to an upcoming meeting if you think folks might be interested in seeing them. Please let me know your thoughts...Please see attached photo. Ya never know what you'll find digging around stuff in closets! Mark Bedel
