    A Thousand Years ofTraditional Crafts at Lincoln Cathedral21st May - A thousand years of traditional crafts is a series of

    workshops, demonstrations of crafts, tours of the cathedral

    workshops and have a go sessions for children. The event will take

    place in the castle grounds, in the cathedral and the workshops. Castle

    Square will host a Tastes of Lincolnshire food fair on the day.

    Annual Highlights...Festival Fun Its Festival season all year round in Lincoln. Events range from music, literary

    and comedy festivals to a celebration on Lincolns waterfront.

    Lincoln Christmas Market, from the 1st - 4th December 2011, is one of Europes

    biggest traditional German-style kindelmarkt with over 300 stalls, musicians

    and street performers flanking Lincoln Cathedral.

    inside, and an eerie chapel where inmates would watch 3-hour sermons in isolated booths.

    tower visible from 20 miles away.

    Climb the 365 spiral steps to the

    top for an incredible view.

    Boston is the home of Puritanism,

    which eventually went to the New

    World in Massachusetts. But in

    1607, some of the founding fathers

    were arrested as they tried to

    escape persecution fleeing to

    Holland in the Guildhall you can

    see where they were tried and

    imprisoned.

    If your looking for entertainment then look no further than the

    South Holland Centre in Spalding. With a variety of live events

    and up to the minute cinema screenings there is everything you

    could want for a great night out in the Fens.

    The winds blowing around Boston Stump are said to be

    caused by the struggle between the Devil and St Botolph, the

    Saxon saint who founded his monastery here in AD 654.

    The octagonal tower still resists the breath of the devil.
