To get VisioNize up and running, VisioNize-onboard devices need to be integrated into your local network and need to be able to send their data to our services hosted in the VisioNize Digital Lab Space.

Please share the instructions and requirements listed below with your IT department.

VisioNize® consists of the following components:

VisioNize services, accessed by a web browser on any client computer or mobile device. It displays the data from the following connected Eppendorf devices:

VisioNize-onboard devices from Eppendorf, which communicate directly with the VisioNize Digital Lab Space (for example the ULT-Freezer CryoCube® F740hi). They need to be connected to the company network and power supply.

VisioNize-onboard devices use the following communication ports and protocols to transfer data to the VisioNize services. These communication ports need to be whitelisted on your local firewall.

Preparing the network infrastructure

Enough active Ethernet wall sockets available (one for each VisioNize-onboard device)?

If you are using DHCP: Server with enough free IP addres-ses for dynamic lease available (one for each VisioNize-onboard device)?

DNS server available (and set in DHCP)?

NTP server available (and set in DHCP)?

Firewall rules set to allow communication on specified ports (see table on page 3)?

Device software requirements:

Please check the below listed requirement to make sure all IT infrastructure prerequisites are met before starting the integration of your devices into the VisioNize Digital Lab Space.

To get the latest device software please contact your Eppendorf service representative.Depending on the individual IT policies of your organization, support from your local IT department may be absolutely required to connect our devices.

Please ask your IT department for assistance! Your IT-department may ask for the “MAC address” of each individual device. This information can be found in the network setting of the device itself: Tab Menu > Settings > System Settings > Network

Device Prerequisites for using VisioNize

Check directly at the device for the latest software version: Tab Menu > Settings > About this: scroll down to „Software version“.

Sign up for your VisioNize Digital Lab Space and book your VisioNize services in our Eppendorf eShop. Thereupon, you will receive an email with your login credentials with next steps.

Sign up for VisioNize!

Check the network connection directly at the device. Please ask your IT for assistance. To check the network connection:

Tab Menu > Settings > System Settings > Network.

If you are using DHCP as network protocol (recommended) switch on DHCP or switch off Enable DHCP and tab Manual Setup and enter the networksetting manually.

To check if your device is correctly configured to connect to VisioNize, use the function “Check Cloud Connectivity Prerequisites” in Menu > Contacts & Support > Diagnostics.

Did it work?

Only one cable is needed. Connect the Ethernet interface at the rear site of the device to an open port on the network with a standard Ethernet cable.

Log into your VisioNize Digital Lab Space: https://visionize.eppendorf.com

Connect VisioNize-onboard devices to your Digital Lab Space.

Please note: After registering for VisioNize in the Eppendorf eShop, you received an email with instructions on how to set your password. You need this password to log into the Digital Lab Space and onboard your devices.

To add your VisioNize-onboard device:

Tap Settings > System Settings > VisioNize Setup and follow the instructions displayed on the screen.

You and Your Lab are now connected.
