We, the Roman Catholic Parish of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, are an all-embracing, diverse Christian community who warmly welcomes everyone to join us. We draw closer to God and one another through worship, which nourishes us for service to our brothers and sisters. We choose to combine our many gifts to teach, celebrate, evangelize help those in need and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus in word and deed. Amen.
October 4th is the Feast Day of Saint Francis. He was born in Assisi (Italy) in 1182.
After squandering his youth away in having excessive fun, he converted, renounced his inheritance, and he offered himself totally to God. He embraced poverty, and lived an evangelical life, preaching to everyone about the love of God.
Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace! That where there is hatred, I may bring love. That where there is wrong, I may bring the spirit of forgiveness. That where there is discord, I may bring harmony. That where there is error, I may bring truth. That where there is doubt, I may bring faith. That where there is despair, I may bring hope. That where there are shadows, I may bring light. That where there is sadness, I may bring joy. Lord, grant that I may seek rather to comfort, than to be comforted. To understand, than to be understood. To love, than to be loved. For it is by self-forgetting that one finds. It is by forgiving that one is forgiven. It is by dying that one awakens to Eternal Life. Amen.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM UPDATES DRE: Olga Matias ~ Ext 102 RE Admin. Asst.: Cathy DeCrescenzo ~ Ext 101 Thanks so much for registering your child in our
Religious Ed Program. This demonstrates your commitment and the importance that you give to the teaching of our faith and the spiritual development of your child. In addition, I want to thank you for your patience with the registration process. This has been a year of many changes in many areas of our lives that has disrupted what we considered a “normal routine” due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, and we are still learning as we go. We continue to make adjustments, as needed.
In order for us to provide a safe environment to your children, family and Catechists our Rel. Ed. Program will be offered as Homeschool Program up to December 2020. The final decision for the next semester will be made the 1st week of December, based on the status of the Pandemic at that time. It is our hope to be able to provide face to face classes, but we will see how things are at that time. This new Homeschool Program is an opportunity for you to grow in your faith as a family, as you help your child with their faith formation. Please visit www.SetonParish.net for details
If you have not already done so, please register for this year’s Religious Education Program ASAP. Forms can picked up in the Gathering Space.
ANGEL TREE ~ Outreach Ministry will sponsor the
Angel Tree Program this year. Donations will be used to purchase gift cards for the sponsored children of incarcerated parent. Donations can be sent directly
to SEAS with “ANGEL TREE” in the memo line. Donations are needed by October 27.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS: Things may change us, but we start and end with family. Families are at the very core of the Knights of
Columbus. The Order was founded by Father Michael J. McGivney for the purpose of protecting immigrant Catholic widows and orphans. Decades after the founding of our Order, the vision and mission set forth by Father McGivney is still as relevant and worthwhile to today's families as it was to those families from 19th century New England. Please, come join our family of Knights of Columbus at Seton Council. Contact any Seton Council Knight or call Bill Mariano 303-229-1926

ST VINCENT DE PAUL ~ it’s no secret that Jesus cares greatly for those who struggle. In Matthew 25:31-40 "The righteous considers the cause of the
poor." Giving freely honors the Lord, helps others and blesses us. The Society of St. Vincent DePaul is in need of your financial support. We have always been blessed with the generosity of the Seton family so please help us and give as generously as your means will allow.
Thank you and many blessings to all!
BIRTHRIGHT’S ANNUAL “BOTTLES FOR BABIES” FUNDRAISER DURING “Respect Life Month” ~ these uncertain times are causing anxiety for everyone. The
Mother’s we serve have faced so many challenges when the world turned upside down. As anxiety grows, the need for our services become even greater and our office has remained open to serve the needs of our Mommies who come to us. With that being said, we will be hosting the BOTTLES FOR BABIES fundraiser! Please mail your personal checks directly to us or you can drop your donation off! Our address is: Birthright of DE; 1311 North Scott Street; Wilmington, DE 19806. Please be sure to mark the Memo section of your check, with your parish name, for Credit and tax purposes.
We have extended the time frame, so you can return donations to us the whole month of October, November and December due to the Pandemic. Proceeds benefit pregnant women and their babies. And we graciously “THANK YOU!” If you have any questions, Please contact me, Tinisha Brown, at 302-660-1087 (C) or 302-656-7080 (O)
DIOCESE OF WILMINGTON ~ Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the diocesan Share in the Spirit tuition assistance collection! For those of you who have not yet
participated, you may still contribute to the Share in the Spirit collection. Please drop your envelope in the collection basket or at the parish office or go to the Share in the Spirit website at www.cdow.org/sharspirit.html and click on “Ways to Give.” This important collection supports the mission and ministry of our Catholic schools by assisting parents who week a Catholic education for their children but who struggle to afford the full cost of tuition.
