MEET THE TEAM

Janet Harrison (Luminary)

Janet describes herself as a success trainer and motivational

coach with a track record in developing and delivering inno-

vative and powerful personal development programmes. She

is a strong advocate of strengths based learning and develop-

ment, which is absolutely crucial to the process of achieving

success and happiness. She also uses creative techniques to

unlock potential and encourage innovation, enterprise and

the realisation of ambitions. She is a supporter of CAPP

(Centre for Applied Positive Psychology), a volunteer and

training provider for the Princes Trust and sharpens her crea-

tive skills by offering improvisation workshops, as well as

writing screenplays.

Liz Faye (Visionista)

Liz has worked in the Financial Services sector for over 23

years and has worked for a number of large employers includ-

ing, Deloittes, Sedgwick Noble Lowndes and Watson Wyatt.

Liz is a fully qualified financial adviser and one of only a hand-

ful of advisers within the UK who holds the specific qualifica-

tion to advise the elderly on issues surrounding care home

fees. She also lectures on behalf of the FSA as part of their

Money Made Clear campaign and has recently become a

regular on various BBC Radio Lancashire programmes as their

resident financial expert.

Douglas Watt-Dugdale (Revolutionary)

Douglas has been a qualified accountant since 2000 having

gained a degree in Accountancy & Finance and 3 years experi-

ence in practice. For the last 6 years he has worked in the ABL

industry as an auditor and client manger for a number of com-

mercial lenders including GMAC CF, Five Arrows CF and Lloyds

TSB CF.

STRUCTURING Our Transaction Services Team helps companies make acquisitions, disposals and

RISK MANAGEMENT We assist and advise businesses, other advisers and lenders to manage risk in any

number of scenarios that include:

Collateral & Security - Working closely with lenders to appraise the value, validity and

enforceability of their client’s borrowing base. Primarily focused on the ABL industry.

Finance & Sustainability - Supervision and review of critical information in relation to

liquidity and financial conditions with ongoing status reports and collateral assessments.

Risk Review – A tailored risk review which concentrates on identifying the key risks

within every aspect of the business and developing and supporting strategies to manage

them.

Management Assessment - Can the client’s management team deliver the strategy that

is agreed with the lender? We are able to appraise and work with the company and the

lender to ensure that the management team is appropriately skilled for the tasks ahead.

INTERNAL AUDIT In these tough economic conditions and increased globalisation, there are new and

emerging risks. Internal audit is becoming a more prominent management tool in

this ever-changing environment as many companies are struggling to manage – and

UNIVERSAL VISION

TRUETRADE

In this unique package we match the needs of one company,

with another company’s offerings. Through TrueTrade we help

businesses of all sizes obtain goods and services they needed

without it effecting cash flow. Bartering via our TrueTrade

system is the obvious answer.

The system works on a strictly “face to face, 1 for 1” basis, for

example, 1 hour of an accountant’s time for 1 print run of 250

business cards. Whatever your business can do, you can trade it for something you need.

How does it work? You will need to find out for yourself – but it involves a ‘Barter

Board’, a good deal of face to face networking (which is essential to feel comfortable with

your fellow ‘trader’) and an ongoing bartering exchange system, which is available

outside of the TrueTrade evenings. Traders will also have the opportunity of a speaker

slot at the event and will obviously learn a great deal about the concept of giving

something back – something we are keen to promote.

BE INTERPRISING

So popular is our ‘Life Audit’ programme, we have been asked to incorporate elements of

this into something which can be delivered to employees of all ages. Something which

identifies the strengths, abilities and values of individual employees and tries to align

these more closely with the missions and aims of the company.

We help employees realise where their real talents lie (that is those which give them real

energy, not just something they are good at). We also help employers establish or

re-visit their values and aims and try to establish where the synergy lies between

employee and employer.

We are focused on developing support and assistance for other professional adviser sec-

tors to ensure that Age & Diversity is at the forefront of what they do.

Financial Advisers - We assist Independent Financial Advisers to expand their

practices into the Over 70s market. IFAs are required by the FSA to hold specialist

qualifications to advise on this market and so only a handful are able. We educate

and facilitate the training of IFAs to ensure that they can access this rapidly grow-

ing market within Financial Services and as such ensure that this vulnerable sec-

tion of society is getting the real help they need.

Legal Practices - We help legal practices to make the most of their client bank by

educating them to understand the Long-Term Care market. With the advent of

new products to the LTC market which require conveyancing, our Advance Team

can ensure that legal practices do not miss out on these opportunities.

Care Homes – Due to the economic downturn, many within the care home sector

have found it increasingly difficult to maintain full occupancy. We can educate

owners on to maximise occupancy from their existing waiting list.

Insurance Companies - We work in association with a number of leading insurers

to enable them to maximise their exposure to the Over 70s market.
