VISION & MISSIONThe ELE world is transforming at breakneck speed - and not only because of the dire consequences of Covid19 - which means moving with the times is more important than ever. Our main objective is to be able to adapt ISLA S.L. to these new requirements. We not only want to follow new trends and adapt to new circumstances, but we like to be pioneers in some aspects of the ELE field.

Our vision of ISLA SL is to be an innovative company, a company that competitors

look at and even copy, something that we believe is

never a bad sign.

We’ve always loved creating new things: teaching methods, online resources, out-of-classroom activities, games, videos, and quizzes. It gives us all at ISLA great satisfaction to be able to design new tools and see how students enjoy them. We operate in a very international environment. We are a multinational team and this helps us understand the needs of our students.

Our commitment to our students is, and always has been, absolute. Our greatest weapon is the experience and training of everyone who works at ISLA. ELE instructors guarantee excellent teaching and that our students reach or even exceed their goals. But our students don’t just want to learn Spanish. They require a series of complementary services: transfer from Madrid, accommodation where they can feel comfortable and free time activities to continue learning Spanish outside the classroom... They need every kind of help and information at their fingertips during their language stay in Salamanca. Our team of free time monitors and those in charge of activities, accommodation and customer service guarantee the highest of quality in these services. We are at our students’ disposal seven days a week 24 hours a day so they feel safe and looked after.

One of our main tasks is not only to provide excellent service to clients who have decided to come to Salamanca, but to capture new students. This task is very difficult due to the enormous competition in the market. The Spanish-American world has more and more weight and has become a serious competitor. Our CREA project has a dedicated marketing wing made up of a computer scientist, a web designer and brand manager, a photographer and the director of ISLA, who coordinates all the activities of this team.

The mission of our business is to have a good corporate image, to ensure that creativity is reflected in our facilities, in advertising material, in our web presence and on social networks. Our philosophy is to have a clearly defined label that sets us apart from the competition.

We think that offering different products for different needs is key to success. For this reason, we adapt our presential courses to meet the needs of those preparing exams or short-stay school groups and so on. We are leaders in training for ELE teachers, offering courses for both native and non-native speakers. Our star product is Encuentro CREA, a project that encourages teacher creativity and forces the teacher to leave his or her comfort zone to seek excellence.

We have been investing in online teaching for a long time (something that now, in the days of Covid 19, everyone is doing) and we have devised three variants of online classes. A risky bet, but we believe that in the medium and long term it will pay off. We offer a variant in which the student is alone with the teacher, another in which the course hours are divided equally between tutored hours and hours for self-study, and a last one in which the student has all the materials and tools, learns Spanish through self-study and has very few hours with their tutor.

We believe that we must keep on expanding our language services to access and be competitive in emerging markets.

This does not mean that sometimes we are not frustrated by the evolution of events, but we are convinced that only he who risks and innovates is capable of progressing and being able to survive in an increasingly demanding market. We are convinced that we have the know-how, the passion and the necessary strategies to bring our aspirations to fruition.
