Bharathi Education Trust®. It was founded in 1962 with

the purpose of providing quality education in rural

areas at an affordable cost. The goals and objective

of Bharathi Education Trust® are three fold.

Education in rural areas, providing safe health

care facilities and providing food for the needy

and the deserving. The Trust has grown over

the years into a host of institutions starting

Bharathi Education Trust®

The Bharathi Education Society which subsequently became the Bharathi Education Trust has its headquarters at BET campus, Bharathinagara, Maddur Taluk, Karnataka. It was founded in 1962 by Sri G. Madegowda, the honourable ex-member of parliament and former minister, Govt. of Karnataka. It is aimed at fulfilling all the educational, cultural, social and other aspirations of the people in and around Bharathinagara, which was then a small hamlet of no significance.

Sri G. Madegowda is the Founder Chairman of the Trust and his sincere, unrelenting efforts have led to the establishment of several institutions at Bharathinagara, Hanumanthanagara and Kirugavalu under the auspices of B.E.T. The founder secretary of the Trust late Sri Annur S.Siddegowda was also instrumental in setting up several institutions run by the Trust.The B.E.T. is now managed by trustees. This is a sprawling campus of twenty six acres of lush green, located in the rural heartland of Mandya District. It is the nerve Centre of all the activities of B.E.T. It has a host of several institutions each complementing the other.

How to Reach:Bharathi Education Trust is situated in Bharathinagara (KM Doddi), MaddurTaluk, Mandya District, Karnataka. It is just 90 kms far from Bengaluru. First you have to reach Maddur on Bengaluru-Mysore (SH-7) highway and then the Institute is just 10 kms far from Maddur on Maddur-Malavalli road. It is just 60kms from Mysore. First you have to reach Mandya on Bengaluru-Mysore (SH-7) highway and then the Institute is just 20kms far from Mandya on Mandya-Malavalli road.

Bharathi Education Trust has kept pace with the changing times and is now geared-up to provide skill based educational courses enabling the students to take up jobs in emerging fields like IT and BT.

The campus has students coming from all over India for the various courses on offer. To meet the needs of the student's two separate well equipped hostels for men and women are maintained by the Trust. The hostels have separate facilities for North-Indian and South-Indian students.

The campus at Bharathinagara also has a big playfield and an open-air theatre where students get ample opportunities to hone their skills. A unique feature of the campus is the “Gandhi Bhavana” which has a collection of rare photographs, depicting the life of the Mahathma. The building houses a library and a conference hall. It is in keeping with the pronounced goal of B.E.T. to provide value based education at an affordable cost and inculcating among students Gandhian values.

Sports & Cultural Activities Sport facilities are provided for the students to participate in various games. A number of outdoor and indoor games are being organized.

A cultural activities forum has been created to encourage extracurricular activities of the students. It also provides a suitable platform for exhibiting talents likes singing, monoacting, drama, debating etc.

National festivals will be celebrated in a befitting manner and meritorious students are honoured on such special occasions.

Transport A full-fledged Transport department functions in the college with buses to provide transport facility to students and staff from various places. This service is offered ensuring a hassle-free and safe transportation.

The college runs buses for providing transport facility to students from various places in the city. In addition to college transport public transport, private transport facility is also available as they ply very frequently on highways from all the place like Malavalli, Maddur, Mysore and Mandya with scheduled stop in front of college.

Facilities provide by the TrustHostelBharathi Education Trust provides separate hostels for Boys and Girls with well furnished rooms. We run our hostels in a green and peaceful environment which welcomes students. These hostels will accommodate more than 750 students comfortably. The hostel cleanliness comforts to ace hygiene standards. Mess facilities are also available to provide the hostlers with nutritions and quality food. Kerala Style food also provided.

Each room in all the hostels has been furnished with cots, tables, chairs, book racks and a ceiling fan.

Parents and guardians of the students are being provided accommodation in guest rooms on nominal rent whenever they visit college and wish to stay during their visits. They are also permitted to use the mess facilities in the hostels

Hanumanthanagara campus is situated four kilometres from Bharathinagara, spread over fifty acres of verdant landscape. The heart of the campus is the temple of Lord Athmalingeswara with its unique modern architecture and modernity. Nearby is the Bharathi Residential Composite Pre-University College. The place is ideally suited for meditation as well as learning. The serene atmosphere of the place contributes to the overall well-being of the students here. The campus also has a primary school where children from the surrounding villages pursue education.

This campus is located in Malavalli Taluk of Mandya Dt. It is fifteen kilometres from Malavalli Town. B.E.T. has established a Pre-University College & a First Grade College here and a college of vocational Education, serving the educational needs of the people of the surrounding fifty villages. Bharathi Pre-University College was a part of the Bharathi Composite First Grade College till 2001 when the Bharathi P.U.College with its own separate identity came into being. Since then the college has made steady progress.

Though situated in a rural area, the college has been able to attract students from all over Karnataka. At present the college has a student strength of nearly one thousand eight hundred. There are 24 sections, out of which 13 are science sections. The college has an experienced teaching faculty and very well equipped laboratories. The books in the library are constantly updated.

To meet the increasing demand from students and parents, B.E.T. has set up the Bharathi Composite PU College (BCPUC) from 2011-12 provides specialized and focused teaching to students with day-boarding facilities. Bharathi Higher Primary & High School

Bharathi Higher Primary School was started in 1981 and over the years has established itself as a primary school of renown and students from surrounding fifty villages come to the school. The school has an excellent faculty who treat the children with parental care. At present there are nearly four hundred students studying in different classes from L.K.G. to VII Standard. The school is situated in a separate part of the campus, totally secluded from the noise and bustle of traffic.

The children are encouraged to spend most of their time outside the classrooms and learn under the shade of trees. The children are also imparted Computer Education at an early stage. It is a matter of great pride that students from our school have been regularly selected for Navodaya Residential Schools. Children of our school also get hygienically prepared mid-day meals.

Sri Athmalingeswara Temple

Sri Athmalingeswara Temple is situated long 50 acre area. And it has a beautiful long door entrance and water pond to have bath and attractive steps attracts us. After that in first entry special and beautifully carved long tempest like monument in the name of Raja Gopura and lord Hanumantha statue in the left side and Nandi statue in

right side. And long Deepastamba, Green garden around the temple and Darpana Mandira entertains people in its long view. Everyday people rush towards the temple to enjoy the beauty and worship lord Shiva.

And the Athmalingeswara Trust every year arrange universal marriage to help poor people and avoid financial burden. Every year in the eve of Maha Shivarthri they conduct cattle fair and go possession through chariot and distribute Prasada, Special worship for lord Shiva and Bajana’s, Kolata, Harikatha and Dramas like cultural programs take place in Athmalingeswara Temple of Hanumanthanagara.

Shri Athmalingeshwara Nisargadhama

Underneath of the temple same as Krishna Raja Sagara type Sri Athmalingeswara Nisargadhama is situated. It is around 10 acres long (Boundary) area and it is running under the grants of Central Government tourist department. Two and half crore cost to create or construct in 2009. It has beautiful water fountain, lawn and greenery. Very attractive to the people who come to visit and it has a kids play ground, Boating point and Canteen facilities to have a delicious food. The attractive entrance door of Flower garden welcomes the people through tossing their head in the Breeze decorative lights makes you happy.

This virtuous place takes 15 years short time to ingrown and attracts the tourists. This is such a wonderful place where the people become good and healthy and peace and calm. All the other ancient tourism spots like Sri Rangapattana, Nanjanagudu and Melukote, Belur, Halebeedu like Historical places are losing their purity due to the negligence of the Government and local authorities but Sri Athmalingeswara temple is very good in modern basic facilities compare to all the other Historical ancient places which we mentioned above.

Prakruti Arogya Dhama

Dr. G. Made Gowda had visionary who was instrumental in establishing Yoga and Nature Cure Hospital under

Bharathi Education Trust in the year 2003 with the view of spreading the message to the common man that human

body has the capacity to provide cure for its own ailments through various drugless therapies.
