Destination Success
Open to all 8th grade students who are preparing to advance to the 9th
grade and would benefit from differentiated instruction in Math, Reading, and Science in addition to
sessions focusing on crisis intervention, counseling, and career connections. *Required attendance for 8th graders who did not pass the 3rd administration of the 8th grade
Reading STAAR and/or Math STAAR. Student and parent support and academic interventions continue
throughout the school year.
Registration and recommendations will be arranged by the home
campus Grade Placement Committee (GPC).
Transportation provided under VISD guidelines. Breakfast and Lunch available.

Special Education
The Extended School Year program is for special education students, as
determined by the ARD committee, to prevent regression of acquired
skills. No new skills are introduced during the ESY program.
There is no fee for the program.
