CLASS DESCRIPTIONS Body, Mind & Spirit Wednesday’s at 10am
This class explores different topics, from learning about and discovering your
authentic self, to bringing balance and mindfulness in your life.
Coming Together Friday’s at 2:30pm
Join this support group to learn about wellness strategies that
help people develop resilience after experiencing a crisis or trauma.
Expansion Tuesday’s at 6pm
Jane Ritz will guide the class, as they explore the Spiritual Dimension of
wellness, with a focus on the spiritual facets of acceptance,
sensuality, love, pleasure, play, peace and altruism.
It Takes a Village Every Other Thursday at 2:30pm
This support group is for parents navigating wellness for
themselves and their families, from a lived experience perspective.
Keep Your Power Friday’s at 10am
Come explore the good, bad, and ugly of our emotions and complete
10 hours towards a Certified Peer Support Specialist Certification.
Let’s Get Creative with Jane Ritz Monday’s at 1pm
Explore your creative side while stimulating your brain and improving your
mood. Each week will offer a different creative opportunity!
Life in Balance Friday’s at 1pm
This class focuses on cultivating skills to create healthy boundaries for
intimate, family and friend relationships and explores the effects of
substance use and trauma on relationships.
Music and Recovery Wednesday, May 27th at 6pm
Cedric Coit will highlight how music can play an important role in the
wellness process and will provide an opportunity for individuals to display
musical gifts and explore music through the 8 Dimensions of Wellness.
Recovery Education Tuesday’s at 10am
Join us to learn about wellness strategies that can help people chasing
recovery, to capture it through the life net of resilience, developing
recovery goals and trauma informed self-care.
Recovery 101 Monday’s at 10am
An exploration of all things “recovery.” Each class highlights a different
recovery related theme. By using videos, activities, exploring tools,
strategies, and engaging in conversations participants will learn more
about recovery and what it means to them individually.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Seeking Safety Thursday’s at 1pm
This nationally recognized curriculum was created for people
experiencing PTSD/Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and substance use
issues. However, Seeking Safety is open to everyone, and provides10
hours towards a Certified Peer Support Specialist Certification.
Support Groups Daily at 2:30pm
Join us for a Support Group, where you will find people with common
experiences and concerns who provide emotional and moral support for
one another. On Wednesday, we explore navigating the journey of grief;
every other Thursday we will focus on parenting; and on Friday we will
discuss developing resilience after experiencing a crisis or trauma.
Thinking About Recovery Wednesday’s at 1pm
This class explores the building of sustained health and wellness through
recovery strategies that connect to the eight dimensions of our wellness.
Town Hall Wednesday’s at 11am
A community meeting where we discuss Hub happenings,
share success stories and voice concerns to improve the Hub.
Wellness, Emily Style Monday’s at 6pm
Emily Lupsor will share a variety of offerings that include variations in Yoga
practices, simple meal preparation including baking tips. Emily’s laid back
style promotes a comfortable place to unwind at the end of the day.
Work Works! Tuesday’s at 1pm
PRN believes that WORK WORKS, so in this class our goal is to show you
how to WORK IT!!! Let us help you discover the tools that you need
to grow and discover the healing power of employment.
Writing for Wellness Thursday’s at 7pm
Join us to learn about the writing and wellness connection to navigating emotions.
Each session will be led by different facilitators, who will talk about what Creative
Writing is, how it is used both personally and professionally, share some of their own
work, and give participants the opportunity to share their writing.
Yoga: Gentle Chair Yoga Thursdays at 10am
This practice is done primarily sitting in a chair and sometimes standing
by a chair for support. This class is for you if you want to: promote
strength, balance, and flexibility, relieve pain and tension, and learn
healthy ways to cope and relax.

MufukaWorks Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 4pm
MufukaWorks Dance Co. presents Afro Russe Dance for Everyone. Students will
learn a fusion of Zimbabwean African, Ballet, and Contemporary as well as a
cultural experience. This dance workshop will explore your inner dancer and use
dance to tell stories. No prior experience needed. MufukaWorks is directed by
dance educator Elsie Mufuka. Mufuka is a local Charlotte artist, Teacher of the
Year, and NC Dance Educator of the Year. Mufuka is happy to bring her roots
from Zimbabwe through dance.
