INSTALLATION

Android / iOS

1. Download the 8x8 Virtual Office mobile app: App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android).

2. Follow instructions and install.

Login

1. Tap the Virtual Office app icon.

2. Enter the username from the welcome email.

3. Use the password which you set with the link from the welcome email.

Usernames & passwords

1. Go to Virtual Office Mobile login screen.

2. Tap Help in the login screen.

3. Follow the instructions to access your username or reset the password.

NAVIGATION

Select the Menu icon in the top-left corner to access all options.

Bottom navigation bar

Select this icon to access your contacts.

Select this icon to access your call history.

Select this icon to access your voicemail messages.

Select this icon to access your SMS and instant messages.

SETTINGS

• Access Settings via the Menu icon .

• Use Settings to personalize your ringtones and set your overall preferences.

SET UP CALL MODE

• Set up your call mode options to route your inbound and outbound calls via mobile data network or cellular network.

• Switch between the networks based on your needs.

• While roaming in areas with weak Wi-Fi signals or poor 3G/4G reception, switch to cellular data network for better call quality.

To select a calling network option:

1. From the menu, navigate to Settings > Call Mode.

2. Tap Outbound or Inbound to select the desired call mode.

3. Use one of the following options for outbound and inbound calling. Always Ask prompts you to select between Wi-Fi/Mobile data network and cellular network.

ACCESS CONTACTS

• Filter contacts by Favorites, Company (contacts in your company), or Device.

• Search contacts, tap to open the dialpad, or tap to add new contacts.

• See contact presence and info, and tap to initiate a call or to start a chat.

PLACE CALLS

1. Open the keypad by tapping from the Contact or Menu screens.

2. Use your extension number if calling within your group and tap Call.

3. Call management options include Mute, Speaker, Keypad, Hold, Add Call, Transfer, Record, Park, and Start Video (video call only connects if the minimum connection quality is available).

4. To transfer an active call, tap Transfer and choose a number from the categories listed.

CHECK CALL HISTORY

• The Call Log screen shows all placed and received calls.

• Calls can be filtered to show All or Missed calls.

• Tap an entry to initiate a call to the displayed number or contact.

• Tap for call information and options to create or edit a contact. Information includes whether the call was incoming or outgoing, the duration, and the network used (Wi-Fi, etc.) for the call.

ACCESS VOICEMAILS

1. Select a voicemail and tap to play the message, to control the volume, to call the sender, to flag as read or unread, and to share or to delete the message.

2. Tap for voicemail information and options to create or edit a contact. Information includes date and time received, and message duration.

CHECK CHAT AND SMS

1. Tap a message to read it. Older messages with your contacts can be viewed by scrolling.

2. In a message conversation, tap next to a contact name to bring up their information and options. Tap to add this contact to favorites,

to send an IM, to call, and tap the email address to send an email to the contact.

ACCESS FAX

• To access your faxes, tap to access the main menu and select Fax.

• Receive and access your faxes from the mobile app. Sending faxes is supported only on the desktop app.

• To configure Fax settings and receiving number, please use the desktop app.

• You can send virtually any document on your computer as a fax.

• The local fax number you choose can be disabled or linked to up to five email addresses to receive fax notifications.

Receive Fax

The menu shows a list of all received faxes, with the option to filter by name or number.

• Tap for fax information and options to create or edit a contact. Information includes the date and time received, page count, to and from numbers.

View Fax

Tap an entry to choose whether to View, Share, Mark Unread or Mark Read, or Delete.

Select to view the fax on your device. If the fax contains multiple pages, scroll down to view page-by-page.
