Networking in a virtual world

We held the first private banking kongress event in September 2011. Since the outset, it has been the largest German-language event for wealth managers in Europe – not least because private banking maga-zine is also the market leader, with its wide-ranging coverage of German-language wealth management. Based on its initial success, the series was expanded in 2012 to comprise two annual private banking kon-gress events in Munich (April) and Hamburg (Septem-ber), both of which have become a firm fixture in the calendar. Since 2017, German-speaking clientele have also been able to look forward to our private banking kongress event in Vienna (November).

These very high-profile conferences are built around

a core programme of networking, an exchange of ideas among peers and meeting with top investors – those decision makers from the wealth management industry to whom gaining access is otherwise difficult.In order to guarantee our ability to keep offering you efficient networking opportunities during times of global crisis and social distancing, we have set up a virtual con-ference centre for you. IntroductionThe following terms and conditions apply exclusively to all contracts concluded by companies and public entities under public law with rehblau events GmbH (rehblau events); any terms and conditions of the contracting party (client) are not recognised.

Generalrehblau events is also liable for slight negligent breaches of essential contractual obligations, including those by its legal representatives or agents. Material contractual obligations are those obligations whose fulfilment is essential for the proper execution of the contract, whose breach endangers the achievement of the purpose of the contract and on whose compliance the client may rely. The aforementioned liability of rehblau events in cases of slight negligence is limited to foreseeable damage that is typical for the contract.

rehblau events is also liable for any fraudulent conceal-ment of deficiencies and for assumed warranty for the service and claims under the German Product Liability Act [Produkthaftungsgesetz].

If the conference cannot take place due to force majeure, due to official orders for which rehblau events bears no responsibility or other reasons for which rehblau events is not responsible, or due to the fact that the execution of the event has become unreasonable, rehblau events is entitled to carry out the event at a later date with reasonable notice. The event carried out in accordance with this provision shall be considered as the contractual fulfilment of the execution of the agreed event as owed by rehblau events

WithdrawalThe client may exercise a contractual right of withdrawal (“cancellation”), with the provision that the obligation to pay the contractually agreed compensation to rehblau events continues to exist in the following percentages, depending on the date of the notice of cancellation:

• in the case of cancellation up to 10 days after signingthe contract: 0% of the agreed remuneration

• in the case of cancellation up to 90 days before the startof the event: 90% of the agreed remuneration

• in case of cancellation within the last 90 days before theevent: 100% of the agreed remuneration.

A cancellation of the contract must always be declared in writing. The date of receipt of the declaration by rehblau events is considered the date of cancellation.

OtherShould individual provisions of these terms and condi-tions become invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain effective. Ineffective and unen-forceable provisions shall be replaced by a respective effective and enforceable provision that corresponds as closely as possible to the intended contractual purpose.Spoken collateral agreements do not exist. Any amend-ments and additions to the contract must be recorded in writing.Place of performance and jurisdiction are, if the client is a merchant or legal entity under public law, the headquar-ters of rehblau events.The contractual relationship shall be governed by Ger-man law to the exclusion of the United Nations Conventi-on on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
