VIRGINIAPREMIERLEAGUEVirginiaPremierLeague(“VPL”)aimstoprovideapathwaytowardnational-levelprogramming-U.S.SoccerDevelopmentAcademy&EliteClubsNationalLeague-forplayersofitsmemberclubs.VPLprovidesaclub-centriccompetitionplatformtomaximizeplayerandcoachingdevelopment.Itisadual-affiliate(USYouthSoccer&USClubSoccer)leaguetoensureopportunitiesforitsmemberstoparticipateinVYSAStateCupandODP.Each13U-19UdivisionwinnerearnsabirthintheUSClubSoccerNPLFinals.ThePlayerDevelopmentProgram(“PDP”)addsanidentificationanddevelopmentprocessforplayersoutsidetheDevelopmentAcademytowardUSClubSoccerid2.
NPLOVERVIEWTheUSClubSoccerNationalPremierLeague(“NPL”)isanationalcompetitionplatformcreatedtoelevateandchangethecompetitiveyouthsoccerlandscapeby:• extendingdevelopmentalprinciplesespousedbyU.S.Soccerintomore
agegroupsandclubs• linkingcompetitionwithplayerdevelopmentandidentification
platforms• providingmeaningfulweeklycompetitionculminatingintheNPLFinals.• NPLsareleaguesunifiedunderonenationalcompetitionplatformand
basedonacommontechnicalframework.
NPLPLATFORMNPLprovidesaplatform:• focusedonlong-termplayerdevelopment• forthecountry’stopsoccerclubs,allowingconsistent,meaningful
high-levelgamesappropriatelyscheduledwithhighertraining-to-gameratiosandeliminatecalendarcongestion
• integratedwiththeid²Program,whichincludesPlayerDevelopmentPrograms(PDPs)inselectlocalmarkets,andthatworkscloselywithU.S.Soccerstaffregardingplayeridentification,andplayerandcoachdevelopment
