Learn how tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) can transform
your office goals. KPIs are vital for office growth, improving practice
value and generating passive income through the associate dentists
and hygienists. Practice value should represent 25% of one’s
retirement assets and this course will help guide dentists to achieve
this percentage, while creating a systematic approach that will increase
the total nest egg value.

MasterTrack Program
October 26, 2019 Fall Session
-FALL SESSION-
IMMEDIATE IMPLANT PLACEMENT &
GUIDED BONE REGENERATION
Immediate implant placement can be an effective and convenient treatment for patients by providing shorter treatment time than delayed implant placement and by preserving the adjacent soft tissue architecture and alveolar bone. In the anterior esthetic zone, great care and planning must precede immediate implant placement.
With minimally-invasive surgical techniques, implant placement and minor ridge augmentation will help patients return to full masticatory and esthetic function quickly. This course will utilize didactics and a hands-on workshop to exemplify different treatments approaches in immediate implant placement and soft tissue management.
• Utilize appropriate protocol for identifying when immediate implant placement can be done
• Determine when guided bone regeneration is needed with immediate implant placement
• Determine when soft tissue augmentation is needed
• Uncover dental implants in Stage II surgery and develop adequate attached gingiva around the implant to promote long term health and stability
Learning Objectives:
Ahmad Hawasli, DDS

Spring and Summer
Highlights and Happenings
The Virginia Academy of General Dentistry (VAGD) was delighted to welcome Dr. J. Luis Ruiz to Virginia Beach this July for a 1.5 Day Participation Course, “Healthier, Faster and More Predictable Direct Rehabilitation Using Supra-Gingival Techniques.” Attendees learned high-quality evidence-based adhesive dentistry techniques specially designed to keep restorative margins above the gum, and spent several hours practicing these techniques under the careful supervision and direction of Dr. Ruiz.
Following the course, attendees and local doctors were invited to enjoy appetizers and spirits amidst the beautiful gardens at the Mid-Atlantic Study for Advanced Dental Study, maintained by owners and gracious hosts, Buddy and Rick Shafer. Guests were invited to listen to MasterTrack Case Presentations and socialize with the MasterTrack board, in an effort to spread awareness about Virginia’s growing MasterTrack program. Save the Date for our 2020 Summer MasterTrack CE by the Sea: July 31-August 1, Dr. Michael Waliszewski, Removable Prosthetics.
