Vinyl Hoarding BannersMerriman Street & Bettington Street ApartmentsWJD Properties, August 2018
THE PROJECTWJD Properties are currently redeveloping and constructing new apartments located at 44-48 Merriman Street & 56-62 Bettington Street, Millers Point, NSW. Twelve apartments will be available once construction work is completed, each boasting views of the recently developed upmarket Barrangaroo Reserve.
This premium residential project was awarded to WJD Properties
At the completion of the project, the site will backfi lled and the parkland restored in consultation with North Sydney Council.
THE CHALLENGES
With Circular Quay, The Rocks, Sydney CBD and Barrangaroo in close vicinity to the site, the apartments were naturally geared towards the premium end of the property market. Unsightly hoarding demarcated the construction zone, and developers, WJD Properties, were seeking a printed product that could elevate the look of the building site.
In keeping with the area’s rich built history, WJD Properties utilised refi ned artwork commissioned by the City of Sydney to promote the build.
Subtle modern tweaks to historical images featured on the artwork titled ‘Double-take’ by artist Rachel Harris; a series of historical images of Sydney which are digitally blended with modern items.
