Frederick Wildman has a portfolio that is one of themost respected in the business! On Wednesday, Feb.2nd starting at 7 PM The Vineyard will host our 1stSeminar of 2011 by presenting a few of their wines.Our speaker, Steven, will focus on the Rhone &Languedoc-Roussillon areas of France.
Here will be the line-up:
Jaboulet Parallèle 45 Cotes du Rhone Rosé:A blend of 50% Grenache, 40% Cinsaultand 10% Syrah.Jaboulet Parallèle 45 Cotes du RhoneRouge: Is a blend of Grenache and Syrahfrom vines averaging 25 years old.Jaboulet Crozes Hermitage "Les Jalets":Syrah, Its name comes from the word"jalets" which is the Old French word forthe pebbles left by alpine glaciers, as canbe found at Châteauneuf-du-Pape.Jaboulet Châteauneuf du Pape Les Cedres:70% Grenache ; 15 % Cinsault ; 10% Syrah ;5 % Mourvèdre. This is the most famousappellation of the southern Rhône and alsoone of the best-known in France andabroad. Its rise to fame goes back to thepresence of the papal seat in Avignon from1309 to 1376. It was Pope John XXII whodeveloped the château, which is today inruins.Maison Hecht et Bannier Minervois: Ablend of Syrah, Grenache and a touch ofCarignanMaison Hecht et Bannier Cotes duRoussillon Villages: A traditional blend ofGrenache, Mourvedre, Carignan and SyrahMaison Hecht et Bannier Faugeres:Faugeres is a small appellation located onthe somewhat inland on theMediterranean coast to the west ofMontpelier and Nimes. This blend ofSyrah, Mourvèdre and Carignan is vinifiedin a combination of 10% tank, 30% largenuetral oak casks and 60% oak barrels.30% of the oak is new.

Italian-American Club 27th AnnualPasta Festival!

The Italian-American Club of theCSRA will have their 27th AnnualPasta Festival on Friday,February 25 at the Hellenic Centerof the Greek Orthodox Church at the
of the Greek Orthodox Church at thecorner of 10th and Telfair St inAugusta.
The Italian-American Club supports many localcharities with the funds raised by this festival.
They will have two times available that day plus take-out. Tickets are $8 and the menu will be Spaghettiwith meatballs or sausage, tossed salad, rolls andtea. Various Italian pastries and cookies will alsobe available too.
Lunch will be 11:00 - 2:00
Dinner will be 4:30 - 8:00
