INTEGRATED FILTRATION OF OIL PRODUCTS
Performance figures, reliability and efficient operation of watercrafts may significantly be improved by the integrated filtration of oil products with the help of corresponding fuel preparation and cleaning systems. Modern marine power plants make high demands on the fuel, motor and turbine oil utilization. The necessity and importance of the fuel and oil filtration are confirmed by norms for the technical operation of diesel fuels.
During the fuel and oil storage in ship premises, fuel and oil are polluted with sea water and salt, corrosions, etc. Vineta Ltd. has designed and produced the equipment for the integrated fuel, motor and turbine oil purification by porous polymeric filter elements.

INTEGRATED FILTRATION OF OIL PRODUCTS
The purification of oil products, based on usage of filter of such a type makes it possible to clean oil products from water, mechanical impurities and biofouling both simultaneously and efficiently. The purification from water is continuous thereby. That is highly important for watered products. The amount of separated water is not limited.
As the water is absorbed out of oil products, the poromeric structure (pic.1) of the filter forms large water drops. Under the gravity, these drops move inside the poromeric structure to the bottom of the filter element. Shall the drop be pushed outside the surface under the influence of oil products’ flow, it is not entrained by the flow, but slides along the filter element surface (like rain drop goes across the glass). As drops are accumulated in the bottom of the filter element, they drain into the settling tank (рiс. 2).

DIESEL FUEL SEPARATION UNITS, BASED ON POLYMERIC FILTER ELEMENTS
• Due to R&D and results of implementation of FST 40/10, FST50/10 (produced instead of separators STs-1,5, STs-3), Vineta Ltd. has designed ultimately new separation units: separation units of BS type and automated static separators of SSAF type. Their peculiarity is the usage of volumetric filter elements instead of the centrifugal separation. The capacity of separation units of BS type is from 1 up to 3 m³/h. The capacity of automated static separators of SSAF type is from 5 up to 10 m³/h; • Separation units and automated static separators secure the integrated purification of diesel fuel, motor and turbine oil from free water and water emulsions, mechanical impurities and biofouling.

The separation unit includes: • Filter-separator, equipped with level control sensor and solenoid valve. • NMShF 5-25-4.0 pump • All equipment is installed on the frame. • The Separation unit is controlled via the control desk. Both local and remote control are possible. The control desk may be installed on the frame or separately in any service-friendly place. • The pressure drop, indicating the filter contamination level, is controlled by manometers.

FUNCTION AND TECHNICAL DATA • Improve fuel indices . • Save from 4 up to 8 % of fuel due to the fluid homogenizer. • Two-phase system of the heavy oil fuel heater. • The main heating takes place in the steam-electric heater of tube-in-tube type. • The 2nd heating takes place in the fluoroplastic electric heater up to the preset temperature in the automatic mode via the control desk. • The built-in recirculation system secure the heavy oil fuel processing in a daily tank, providing a stable oil-water sludge irrespective of the operation of the rest fuel-preparation system.
