Dear Parents & Students What an awesome way to finish the year ! Firstly Showcase was just a spectacular night with our multi talented students on display. Then Presentation Day was a formal showcase of our exceptionally talented students and their achievements. Lastly Year 10 Final Roll Call and Welcome to Senior School was dignified and rewarding of the hard work these students have put in over the last four years. When you see these events it can only make you proud of the school, the students and the large support we gain from the community. I want to thank our staff for their continuous dedicated work in providing the best opportunities possible for students in academic, sport and cultural endeavours. I wish everyone a safe and happy Christmas and look forward to working with you for an even brighter future in 2012. Mr S Glenday Principal KLA - TAS This semester has, as usual, been a busy one for the TAS faculty. Work has commenced on the new commercial kitchen that is being constructed under the Government’s Trade Training Centre initiative. The first step was to create a temporary kitchen in D2. This work was completed to a high standard by our Year 10 students who completely stripped the old kitchen and used the fittings for the new kitchen. The school owes these students a debt of gratitude for their hard work. The TAS staff and students would like to welcome back Mrs Smalley who has been off work following a knee operation. All went well and she is back on deck. On a sad note, we will be losing Mrs Irvine who is retiring at the end of term. Mrs Irvine has been an institution at the school and her valuable contribution to all soon as possible. Next Year 2012 may see some changes with the way we roll out the Laptops, more news about this early Term One. A parent information evening for parents and students of Year 9 will occur in the beginning weeks of Term One. I wish you all a safe and happy holiday.
