Our 5-year Master’s degree in Physiotherapy pro-gramme has been developed with full reference to recentchanges in health service provisions in EU and withineducation standards and directives of the WorldConfederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT). The main goal of our MSc Physiotherapy programmeis to enable graduates of bachelor’s degree inPhysiotherapy to continue their studies and developtheir knowledge and skills.

Our 2-year Master’s degree in Physiotherapy pro-gramme develops the ability to use high-level clinicalreasoning skills to assess, diagnose and treat people withmovement problems caused by a wide variety of joint,muscle, nerve and metabolic disorders. Students gain in-depth knowledge and advanced skills that are necessaryto critically evaluate and contribute to research inpreferred area of clinical speciality.Students obtain the abilities to plan and control theeffectiveness of a medical rehabilitation process. Acquiringthese abilities is possible thanks to an extensive scheduleof theoretical and practical classes within special methods

Pursuant to the new act on the profession of physio-therapist, § 17, section 1 of the regulation of Minister ofScience and Higher Education of 26 September 2016, onconditions of studies, Physiotherapy will be offered only aslong-cycle master degree studies among otherprogrammes like: Medicine, Medicine and Dentistry,Laboratory Medicine, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine, Law,and Canon Law.

Students who want to work as physiotherapists in Polandand start their 5-year long-cycle Master degree programmein Physiotherapy after 1 October 2017, are obliged tocomplete 6-month practical training after graduation, takeNational Specialization Exam for Physiotherapists, andregister themselves in the National Physiotherapy Registry.

BSC SPORT SCIENCEFIRST-CYCLE STUDIESSport Science is a feld of study that examines thefunctioning of a human body under the influence ofexercise, training, and many other stimuli. It alsoemphasizes the ways of promoting health by meansof physical activity.

Our 3-year Bachelor’s degree in Sport Science pro-gramme is a multidisciplinary field of study, designed toprovide a balanced understanding of both sport andexercise sciences across a range of sub-disciplines. Itincludes such areas as Physiology, Psychology, Anatomyand Biochemistry, uniquely merged with Individual andTeam Sports, Dancing, Fitness and Health Training. Theprogramme educates highly qualified specialists endowedwith broad theoretical and practical knowledgeconcerning physical education, sport and healthpromotion. Students gain considerable knowledge oftraditional and unconventional training methods, physicaland social measures of influence on pupils, somatic andmotoric development, health and fitness maintenance,planning and conducting the process of physicaleducation, as well as corrective and compensatoryexercises. Graduates are prepared to do didactic-educational work, promote health and physical activity,plan, carry out and evaluate physical activity which serveshealth, recreation and beauty.

PLACEMENT

Students undergo their practical training at schools. Theyacquire the skills in influencing pupils’ physical and mentaldevelopment, and gain invaluable teaching experience.

Students are also required to participate in sports camps.During a summer camp students can improve theirswimming and lifesaving water skills, participate in sailing,canoeing or bike tourism classes and attend speciallectures. A winter camp includes skiing, cross-countryskiing and snowboarding practical classes, as well aslectures.

CAREERS

Graduates have sufficient qualifications for teachingphysical education in primary schools and working ineducational institutions, social organizations, sportsclubs, recreation and fitness centres. After completingadditional courses graduates can also work as sportsinstructors, referees or professional trainers.

Our 3-year Bachelor’s degree in Beauty Scienceprogramme includes lectures and classes taught inwell-equipped cosmetology labs by highly qualified anddedicated academic staff as well as experiencedprofessionals like dermatologists, allergists or plastic sur-geons.The future beauty therapists will be able to developtools and techniques to maintain a healthy facial andbody skin, eliminate skin and body defects, highlightattractive features of the face and shape the desiredimage by employing the latest technologies in cosmeticprocedures. Our 3-year Bachelor’s degree in InternationalBusiness Management programme aims to educateand train international business professionals whowant to work successfully as economists and managersin any country or culture and combine one’s knowledgeof business processes with interpersonal relations withpartners from diverse cultures. The hands-on and case--based teaching approach provides each graduate witha comprehensive knowledge of business and economics,including the fields of marketing, sales, finance,quality, and management, as well as financials, humanand physical resources.

Managerial Economics – contemporary economicenvironment requires from specialists (managers) aprofound understanding of the changes affectingindividual economic entities. English philology is a discipline devoted to historyand culture of English-speaking countries. Intensivedevelopment of language skills is combinedwith engaging studies in the fields of literature,linguistics, history and media.

Our 3-year Bachelor’s degree in English Philologyprogramme is aimed at students who apart from le-arning the English language, are also interested in eve-rything that is connected with English-speaking cultureand lifestyle, for example theatre, poetry, but also films,TV series and press. Therefore, the studies should onno account be treated as an intensive language course.The improvement of language skills is very often anaftermath of participation in challenging classes connectedto variety of topics ranging from classical andmodern British and American literature to variousapproaches to language, culture and media studies.The main aim of our BA English Philology programme isto prepare students to function in all kinds of English--speaking environments by providing them with bothlinguistic and non-linguistic skills. The former includethe ability to use correct variety of British or AmericanEnglish in speaking and writing, whereas the lattercomprise public speaking, preparing and givingpresentations, collecting and processing information, andteamwork.
