GRADUATE PROGRAMS

The Villanova MBA provides a learning experience that equips students

with the skills to innovate, adapt and lead in a world that is in constant flux.

Our classes emphasize a practical, real-world education and promote work

across disciplines. The program offers three different tracks—Online, Flex Track

and the Fast Track—which allows students to complete the program at their

own pace, or in an accelerated format. The Villanova MBA features a strong

functional core designed to develop knowledge and skills, with pillar courses

in analytics, ethics, innovation & creativity and the global economy. Elective

courses span disciplines and feature current business trends and topics. Two

embedded consulting projects bring classroom learning to life: one with a local nonprofit organization,

and the other with a multinational firm. All of these curricular components put our students in a position

to bring what they are learning in the classroom back to the office for an immediate impact.

The Villanova Executive MBA’s innovative learning environment is designed to encourage students to

think differently, to collaborate with peers and to partner with faculty. The residential, weekend-based

design allows students to immerse themselves in their learning and to begin building a lifelong network

of business connections. The program is applied and practical, and our professors have deep academic

and industry experience. The Systems Thinking approach that underpins the curriculum emphasizes the

importance of problem solving in the context of each student’s industry.

The Villanova Master of Science in Finance (MSF) program is a rigorous, 12-month, full-time degree

program that includes hands-on interaction with the business world in addition to classroom study.

Coursework includes financial theory, financial decision making, applied corporate financial analysis,

derivatives and management of real-world investment funds. MSF classes utilize VSB’s nationally

recognized Applied Finance Lab, which provides access to the same advanced resources and real-time

information used by Wall Street traders.

The Villanova Master of Accountancy (MAC) program is centered on a 12-week summer semester where

you complete more than half of the degree in a full-time format. Fall and spring semester courses are

delivered on a flexible distance-learning schedule, allowing students to complete the 30-credit degree

while working or participating in an internship—all in as little as 12 months. Following the summer session,

most MAC students proceed to sit for sections of the CPA exam during the fall and spring semesters.

The comprehensive curriculum integrates a wide range of topics to enhance students’ accounting and

business backgrounds—and to help meet the real-world, real-time challenges of global business and the

accounting industry.

The Villanova online Master of Science in Analytics (MSA) is expertly designed to expand your

proficiency in the latest analytics technologies, applications and practices that are actively reshaping the

business world. The program’s rigorous and comprehensive curriculum is taught by VSB’s world-class

faculty of experts in business, analytics, statistics, mathematics and computer science—all of whom bring

managers, managers of diocesan and religious order departments, and those engaged in managing

church-related social service ministries. It is ideal for professionals who cannot take leave from their

CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE

The Daniel M. DiLella Center for Real Estate is changing the face of

business education at Villanova. New courses in real estate have been

introduced, along with a co-major in real estate and a real estate specialization

in the Villanova MBA program. VSB students have also begun a Real Estate

Society. The center supports faculty research and teaching, ensuring relevance

in the curriculum through the incorporation of site visits, experiential learning

projects, industry-standard tools and the perspective of industry experts.

Through education, research and outreach, the Center for Global Leadership

promotes three core ideals: cross-cultural awareness, ethical international business relationships and

responsible global leadership. These ideals are firmly rooted in the University’s Augustinian tradition,

which focuses on the moral and ethical development of our students and faculty and our contributions

to thriving global communities. The center pursues these guiding principles through educational

programs, research, and service and outreach activities.

The Center for Marketing and Consumer Insights leverages the expertise of world class faculty at the

Villanova School of Business (VSB) and an advisory board of practitioners from leading corporations

to support initiatives that foster an unmatched student experience and also improve the science and

practice of marketing as it relates to the consumer experience.

Villanova’s Center for Church Management and Business Ethics performs research, conducts both for-

credit and non-credit programs in Church management, and coordinates all business ethics activities

within the Villanova School of Business. The center works to help Church leadership be good stewards

of their resources, use their facilities effectively, and build a stronger Church. The center also coordinates

opportunities for students to practice ethical business relationships to teach our future business leaders

about social responsibility and give them a set of tools by which to practice it.

The Center for Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship Center (ICE Center) is an innovative

driver of scholastic, educational and professional development opportunities in the areas of creativity,

innovation and entrepreneurship. The center’s curricular division provides support for programs, courses

and the undergraduate minor in entrepreneurship. The research division provides support to faculty

conducting and publishing relevant research, and the practice division develops and maintains programs

and initiatives that provide an interface between the business community and the research and curricular

capabilities of the center.

The Center for Business Analytics was established in 2010 to promote education, research and practice

using analytics, business intelligence, performance management and process management for our

students, faculty and business partners. The center promotes developing a strong program in analytics,

including analytics-oriented courses for both undergraduate and graduate students, and promotes best

practices in analytics through round-table sessions, conference and executive workshops.
