CLUB RANCHO SAHUARITA At the heart of the community is Club Rancho Sahuarita, where residents will find a variety of lifestyle-enhancing activities for any age or interest. Surrounded by vast and pristine green spaces, inviting walking and biking trails, and refreshing water in our pools, opportunities exist everywhere for residents to enjoy a healthy, fulfilling lifestyle.

Club Rancho Sahuarita provides a full-service recreation center with dance and aerobic studios, lounge, a culinary demonstration kitchen, an outdoor activities park, a full lap pool and the largest private splash park in Southern Arizona. The Clubhouse is available exclusively to Rancho Sahuarita residents and their guests. In addition to being a center for resident activity and recreation, various locations within our Clubhouse are available for rent and use by residents. For availability and pricing information, contact our Lifestyle Department at Club Rancho Sahuarita.

FITNESS CENTER AT CLUB RANCHO SAHUARITAClub Rancho Sahuarita’s Fitness Center includes state-of-the-art cardio equipment, fixed weight machines, and strength training equipment (including dumbbells, barbells, free weights and cable machines). Residents must be 16 or older to use the Fitness Center. (Children 13 to 15 years of age may use the Fitness Center with parental supervision).

KIDS TIMEWhile parents are using the Fitness Center or catching up on work, children can enjoy Kids Time. Rancho Sahuarita offers supervised child care at a cost of $3.00 per hour per child (limit of two hours). This service is available for children 4 months to 6 years of age. (Parents must remain on the premises.)

The morning includes complimentary coffee, donuts and bagels, along with a few healthier options. No registration is necessary.

Bingo MadnessTuesday, January 8 & 22, February 12 & 26, March 12 & 26, April 9 & 23 | 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.Try your luck at a night of Bingo every 2nd and 4th Tuesday by buying a card or multiple cards with the chance to win great prizes. Space is limited and entry will be based on a first-come, first-serve basis. The cost is three cards for $5.00 or $2.00 per card (multiple games will be offered each evening). Must be 18 years or older.

Women & WineWednesday, January 9, February 13, March 13, April 10 | 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.It’s new and it includes WINE! Ladies are cordially invited to join us for an evening of wine, appetizers, and friendship. Drop in anytime, during this event, to unwind or make a date with your girlfriends to meet at the clubhouse for an hour. This event is designed for just women. No fee or registration is required. Must be 21 years of age or older.

Story Time for TotsThursday, January 10, February 14, March 14, April 11 Begins at 10:30 a.m. Held on every 2nd Thursday, guest readers will share their favorite children’s stories and a craft or activity. This activity is perfect for children 3 years of age and older and their parents. No registration is required for this free event.

Rancho Sahuarita T-ball ClinicSaturday, January 12, 19, 26 | 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.Children 4 to 6 years of age are welcome to participate in this FREE T-ball clinic for beginners. The clinic will run in a series of three Saturday mornings that will build on the prior week’s lessons. The clinic will focus on the fundamentals and the fun of T-ball, before the official spring season begins. Please bring your own glove. Registration is required for this FREE clinic. Annual Father/ Daughter DanceSaturday, February 9 l 5:00 – 7:30 p.m.Mark your calendars to attend our annual Father/Daughter Dance, in the Ballroom, at the Rancho Resort Clubhouse. Bring your favorite girl out for a night that will include music, dancing, dinner, and dessert. A professional photographer will be on site to take photos of each father/daughter pairing. Each family will receive a complimentary 5 x 7 portrait. This event is for ages 4 years and older. Space is limited to 180 attendees, so don’t wait to reserve your spot. When registering, please add yourself and your daughter. The cost is $17 per person.

Community Yard SaleSaturday, March 2 l 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.Clean out the closets and gather your unwanted items for our spring Community Yard Sale. Rancho Sahuarita will put out the welcome mat to hundreds of bargain shoppers. Participation is easy! Simply come by the Clubhouse and register to be part of this great community event. Maps showing all the participating sales will be distributed at the Clubhouse to shoppers. Signs will also be placed throughout the community. Nearly 200 families participated in our last yard sale, so don’t miss it.

Princess Tea PartySaturday, March 16 l 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.Sign up your little princess to attend a Tea Party with “real” princesses! All girls are encouraged to wear their favorite princess gowns. The party will include a primping session with hair, nails, and some makeup, followed by a delightful tea party. Girls will also have a photo taken by a professional photographer. Each attendee will receive a complimentary 5 x 7 portrait. A fee and registration is required for this event. Movies Under the StarsFriday, April 13 | 7:00 p.m.Our 2019 season of Movies Under the Stars kicks off on April 13th. The event area opens at 7:00 p.m. and the film begins at 8:00 p.m. Complimentary popcorn will be available. No fee or registration is required. Open to residents and their guests.

Special Edition: Movie Night Saturday, April 20 l 6:30 – 10:00 p.m.Join us for a special Easter edition of our Movies Under the Stars series. Families can visit with the Easter Bunny and participate in a variety of children’s activities starting at 6:30 p.m. The movie will begin at 8:00 p.m.

Spring EggstravaganzaSaturday, April 20 l 8:00 – 11:00 a.m.Easter just wouldn’t be complete without an Easter Breakfast! Join us for a complimentary breakfast and much more. Children will have the opportunity to visit with the Easter Bunny, play in the jumping castle, or have their face painted. The event will be capped off with a traditional EASTER EGG HUNT. The Easter Egg Hunt will happen in four separate age groups, with the first one beginning at 9:30 a.m. For more information on the Easter Egg Hunt, age groups, and timeline, please see ActiveNet. Fiesta Sahuarita Saturday, March 30 | 12:00 – 6:00 p.m. Anamax ParkThe best small-town festival in Southern AZ. There will be food vendors, live music, inflatables, rides, arts and crafts for sale, informational booths, and other family fun activities.  Please bring a non-perishable food donation to benefit the Green Valley/Sahuarita Community Food Bank. The event will be held at Anamax Park, 17501 S. American Cancer Society: Relay for LifeSaturday, April 6 | 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Rancho Resort AmphitheaterThe American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life is back in Sahuarita. Join us, at this event, to bring communities together, to remember loved ones lost, honor survivors of all cancers, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society make a global impact on cancer. Explore AZ: Kitt Peak ObservatoryFriday, January 25 l 3:00 – 11:30 p.m.Saguaro Club members will take a chartered bus trip to the Kitt Peak National Observatory. This venue houses one of the most extensive collections of telescopes anywhere in the world. Kitt Peak is located 56 miles west of Tucson. The bus will depart from the Rancho Sahuarita Clubhouse promptly at 3:00 p.m. Upon arrival, members will go on a guided, night tour where they will explore planets and stars by using an incredible array of radio telescopes. Saguaro Club Outing: Tucson Gem & Mineral ShowFriday, February 8 l 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.Saguaro Club members will take a chartered bus to attend the Tucson Gem and Jewelry Show. This show is one of the leading events in North America for all gemstone, jewelry, and mineral industry professionals. It is one of the key jewelry markets in the world. Saguaro Club Outing: Tucson Festival of BooksSaturday, March 2 l 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.Saguaro Club members will take a chartered bus to the Tucson Festival of Books on the University of Arizona College Campus. The Tucson Festival of Books is a free, public celebration of authors, books, reading and literacy. You can visit the Tucson Festival of Books website to see a list of the book authors that will be available for book signings. There will be hundreds of booths to visit as well as a food court for your convenience. There is a transportation fee of $5.00 and registration is required for this event. Explore AZ: Biosphere TucsonWednesday, March 20 l 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.Saguaro Club members will take a chartered bus to the Biosphere 2. This venue serves as a unique large-scale, experimental apparatus housing seven model ecosystems with active research by teams of multidisciplinary scientists. The “Under the Glass Tour” includes a short film on Biosphere 2, a guided visit to the Tropical Rainforest, Savanna, Ocean, Marsh, Desert, Technosphere and Lung. At the conclusion of the tour, visitors may explore the habitat and Ocean Gallery on their own. In the habitat, visitors will see the Lunar Green House, and upper Landscape Evolution Observatory. Exploring the Ocean Gallery is a must, where you can peer into a million-gallon ocean tank. The bus will depart from the Rancho Sahuarita Clubhouse promptly at 9:00 a.m. A $30.00 fee and registration are required. The fee includes your transportation and entrance into the venue. Sense-sational Sweetheart Dance for Families of Children with Special NeedsSaturday, February 9 l 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.Special needs children and their families are invited to enjoy an afternoon of music and food at our annual Valentine’s event. Children will be able to make Valentine’s Day cards for their loved ones along with raising awareness for Congenital Heart Defect. Registration is required for this free event.

Autism Awareness Day for Families of Children with Special NeedsTuesday, April 2 l 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. Join your friends and family as we recognize World Autism Day. World Autism Awareness Day seeks to raise awareness of the autism spectrum disorders and improve the lives of those currently living with autism. Please join us, this day, to help raise awareness about autism.

Easter Egg Hunt for Families of Children with Special NeedsSunday, April 21 l 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Sahuarita-Green Valley Family Support Network, in conjunction with Rancho Sahuarita, invites all families with special needs children to a FREE Easter egg hunt at the Rancho Sahuarita Clubhouse. Please remember to bring your Easter baskets and your camera. The egg hunt begins promptly at 1:00 p.m. The gathering will also include a visit from the Easter Bunny! Explore AZ: Tombstone Annual Rose Tree Parade and FestivalFriday, April 5 l 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.Saguaro Club members will take a chartered bus to Tombstone, Arizona for their Annual Rose Parade and Festival, celebrating the Blooming of the “World’s Largest Rose Tree”. The day will feature several events including: live music, a parade, and much more. Don’t miss this annual Tombstone tradition. Registration and a $10.00 fee are required for this event. Saguaro Club Outing: Tucson Botanical GardensThursday, April 25 l 3:30 – 8:30 p.m.Saguaro Club members will take a chartered bus to the beautiful Tucson Botanical Gardens to experience Twilight Thursdays. Due to the popularity of this event, during their Summer Oasis Series, Tucson Botanical Gardens has extended this event to run year-round. There, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the gardens after dark, surrounded by trees lit with twinkling lights. You will also experience the drama of Frida Kahlo: Art, Garden, and Life Under the Stars. Please bring water and a towel to class. Space is limited.

Hiking ClubSaturdays (meeting times will vary)The Hiking Club charters weekly expeditions to various hiking areas. The club meets every Saturday morning in the Rancho Sahuarita Clubhouse parking lot. Emphasis is on pleasure, not pressure, so you and your partner can easily acquire new moves that you can take right to the dance floor. Dress comfortable and wear non-stick, smooth soled shoes.

Kids YogaSaturday | 9:00 a.m.A 45-minute class that brings fun and mindfulness to Yoga. Lessons are presented with stories brought to life through yoga postures. Amy has recently been certified in the Cosmic Kids Yoga method (this program addresses kids of varying ages and those with additional needs) preferably children ages 4 to 7. Line DancingFriday | 9:00 a.m. Learn the art of line dancing from instructors with over 20 years of experience. This class combines the love of music with choreographed dance moves. The moves are done in a repeated sequence of steps by individuals in a group. This is a great low-impact exercise where you can make new friends while dancing to the latest country and western music. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move and shoes that let you slide/glide on the wood flooring. This class is great for residents 18 to 90 years of age! This class is held in the Vistoso Studio.
