Session 2 Outer Space Adventures In a Galaxy far, far away… the VGDC campers are having an epic space adventure! Join us as we discover comets, planets, stars and more! Our Junior Astronauts will take a moon walk, have a picnic on Pluto, and keep an eye out for any extra-terrestrials. Our Friday assembly with the talented musician Mr. Skip will be out-of-this-world!

Session 1 Hogwarts Week Calling all young wizards! Join your VGDC friends at Platform 9 ¾ for a departure to the magical world of Harry Potter! Meet the magical sorting hat, create Hogwarts-inspired crafts, and even play some Quidditch! On Friday, we will go on a mini-golf fieldtrip. Come prepared to immerse yourself in all things Harry Potter!

Session 2 Throwback Camp Kick it old school with VGDC’s retro camp week. Our campers will be active, explore new activities and separate from a week of “screens”. Throwback Camp is a trip back to the past, with tie dye, Capture the Flag, Red Rover and other activites that pay homage to camps from another era. Field Trip Friday will be a few games at a “vintage” bowling alley!

Session 3 Makers Space Your mission: transform ordinary materials into a range of extraordinary inventions. With a focus on using science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM), your camper will let their creative juices flow! We will visit a true “makers space”, where we will partake in 3D printing on a MakersBot, enjoy Lego engineering and custom design a T-shirt to take home.

Session 5 Crazy For Sports This fun-filled week offers our campers the opportunity to learn teamwork and sportsmanship through a variety of engaging team-based games and activities. Art and nature collide as we bring our imagination and creativity (and our sketchbooks!) outside! We will experience painting, drawing, and 3D design like never before! Campers will have fun looking at, talking about, and making art in wildlife. The week culminates with a field trip to River Bend Park!

Session 7 Carnival Creation Step right up! This week we will work together to design and build classic games for the VGDC carnival. Using problem solving, science and math skills along with some engineering and teamwork our campers are sure to unite! Will they: Engineer a dunk tank? Design a prize wheel? Create an obstacle course? Join us and find out!
