Estancia Vik José Ignacio, is romantic, rustic and traditional, and pays homage to Uruguay’s nature, architecture, art and design. Situated on 4,000 acres, the Estancia is a classic
Spanish colonial structure featuring white adobe walls and a red tin roof. More than half of the 50,000 square foot Estancia is made up of interior patios of outdoor space – courtyards,
gardens, covered walkways and an herb garden located within its walls.

Bahia Vik José Ignacio, the latest addition to the premier collection of properties in Uruguay, spans ten acres of beach dunes on the peninsula in José Ignacio. Bahia Vik reflects con-
temporary beach living, with seamless flow between indoors and outdoors inspired by art and Vik luxury. Celebrating the ambiance of its chic locale, Bahia Vik consists of eleven
uniquely designed bungalows tucked into the beach dunes, with one central building around which retreat living revolves. Artist involvement is again an important focus at Bahia,
where a wide range of contemporary Uruguayan and international artists collaborated with Alex and Carrie Vik and Marcelo Daglio to create site-specific installations for many spaces.
In addition, a variety of other art was added.

In keeping with the philosophy and celebration of the beautiful landscape of their locale, Vik Retreats employ environmentally friendly practices. The design of each property has
focused on minimizing the need for energy use by maximizing natural resources to heat, cool, and ventilate. The properties operate in an environmentally conscious manner through
extensive use of water collection and recycling, solar technologies, and intelligent energy e�ciency systems.

Vik Retreats o�ers an exceptional Experience Concierge program for the enjoyment of all guests. Authorities on their regions, Experience Concierges provide guests of the property

ACCESSIBILITY
Vik Retreats’ properties in Uruguay are accessible via the Punta del Este airport, which is serviceable by daily flights from airports in Argentina and Brazil. Punta del Este is an
international airport that accommodates private jets 24 hours a day and is a forty-minute drive along the coast or by highway. Alternatively, guests may fly to the capital city of
Montevideo one and a half hours away with a large array of flights including direct from Miami and Madrid.
VIK Chile and the Winery at VIK Vineyard are accessible via the Santiago airport, which is serviced by daily flights from international airports around the world. VIK Vineyard is located
approximately 200 kilometers from the Santiago airport and is easily accessible by car. The drive to VIK is estimated to be two hours in transit.
