COMFORT QUILTS

Unfortunately, I was ill and unable to attend the last guild meeting. Marcia once again moved up to the plate. Thanks to you, Marcia, for being a great cohort in crime!!! Marcia did say Barbara Sweet would takeover making up breast cancer kits for us. Why is it the busiest folks are the ones who step up to help? Thank you very much, Barbara, for always being there. (I have fabric, patterns and bags for you. Please don't buy anything.) Now we just need more people to help with making kits for dresses, preemie hearts, and Alzheimer's Figit kits. I have plenty of supplies for all of these. There will never be any expense on your part unless you wish to donate more than your time. This really is not that time consuming individually. Just making kits for each month. Please help us keep the giving going.Marcia said 13 quilts were turned in, 2 dresses, and 12 hearts. Thanks to all that are so generous with their time and talent. I have plenty of batting for those making quilts from our stash. I always have some quilts with batting in them. Not all, but at least 4 or 5. Some ladies however like to use their own so we leave some kits without batting. I will start bringing batting bundles for those who wish to use it.We also are in desperate need for some long-armers or free-motion quilters to help finish the quilts. If you can volunteer for this, we have plenty of ladies willing to bind. Thank you!!!Have a wonderful Thanksgiving to everyone! Enjoy your family and friends and for heaven’s sake – hide the scales!!! Who cares?! Let's party, people! Thank you,Kathy and Marcia
