Reporting to the Artistic Director, your excellent organisational, communication and written skills will help develop a co-producing and project development programme. With a attention for detail you will have a good knowledge of fundraising and be excellent at managing budgets, contracts and production files. Working closely with a range of local educational and cultural organisations, the Creative Manager will assemble a forward-looking programme of quality learning opportunities attached to the creative vision as well as implement the future strategy for the Creative Lab artist development programme. Creative Education

To oversee and carry out all necessary aspects of project management for the effective implementation of the creative learning programme including negotiation of fees payable to artists, drafting of contracts, writing education support material, providing information on artists, writing copy and briefing the marketing team. 

Work across all of NTR’s creative activities, including programming-related activity, embedded commissioning, creative technologies, and NTR workshops.

Manage and establish new relationships with schools and colleges, embedding a holistic approach to programming and young people’s engagement.

Support, contract and co-ordinate project leaders, teachers and other participants during projects to ensure their smooth running, and to participate in or lead projects where appropriate.

Write reports responding to Key Performance Indicators in relation to NTR and associated funding requirements.

To develop and implement evaluation procedures for the creative learning programme. Device and write project strategies were appropriate and in relation to the producing

and Creative Lab programme. Manage the in-house groups and devise programmes of work in relation to the NTR

business plan. Recruit creative practitioners and artists where required for the delivery of work. Disseminate information and work proactively to share engagement opportunities.

Creative producing/ commissioning. Administer contracts in relation to producing, artists and creatives at NTR. Assist in managing the creative processes of NTR productions.

Manage the contracts in relation to NTR commissions and co-commissions, imbedding Creative Lab artists were appropriate.

Assist in managing the processes of NTR commissions, partnerships and the use of NTR resources.

General To collaborate and communicate with local, regional and national networks and

stakeholders with the aim of involving as many organisations in the work of the theatre. Disseminate information and work pro-actively with technical, marketing, operational

and engagement teams to ensure the successful implementation of creative activities across NTR.

Were relevant liaise with the University of Portsmouth and recruit students to support projects.

Co-ordinate relevant requirements for DBS, child and vulnerable people protection processes, and Health and Safety requirements.

To liaise with the Marketing Manager in respect of all audience development issues.  Conduct all business within the financial policies and processes of NTR, focusing on

the optimised business performance of creative programming, and in delivering commissioning, producing and engagement activities within agreed budgets.

Manage and mentor volunteers, trainees and apprentices where appropriate. Be a key holder and duty manager as required. To minimize the impact on the environment wherever possible by implementing

sustainable working practises. Undertake any other task as reasonably requested within this role.
