Assignment: Formative Assessment Strategy Descriptive Feedback

A Formative Assessment Plan (Blueprint) for a cohesive set of lessons:• Learning Target(s) aligned to a Common Core Standard• Type of Target (e.g., knowledge, reasoning, or skill)• Lesson that develops the mathematics embedded in the target• Assessment Aligned to Target (what data will you collect that shows

evidence of student learning)• Students’ Monitoring their Learning of the Mathematics in the Target

Homework:Purpose: This homework assignment will deepen your understanding of providing student feedback is based on your assessment blueprint and the evidence of student learning. Will deepen your understanding of the importance of basing student feedback on your assessment blueprint and the evidence of student learning.

Work through an assessment blueprint for your next set of cohesive lessons.

After you give the assessment in class, choose 6 samples of student work to share in class on April 1st.

Work Samples: 1. Write student feedback on three of the work samples. Be prepared to share the work, how it relates to the assessment blueprint, and your feedback.2. The other three student work samples will be shared in class and feedback to the student will be written in small grade level work groups.

On April 1st please submit the table below along with a copy of the three samples of student work. Complete the first two columns before class. The third column will be completed in class after sharing with your small grade level work group.
