Shiraz. Cinnamon and spice cloves linger
on the palate with long chalky tannins,
bright flavours bursting with amazing
freshness and texture. This wine is well
structured and well balanced and only
lightly oaked to allow clear expression of
its site characteristics. Full mid palate with
underlying McLaren Vale 'chocolate' fruit
cake.

We are ecstatic to announce that our flagship Terremoto Syrah 2011 has been awarded a Gold medal and ranked second in the top 10 at the 2015 Syrah du Monde Wine show. Over 418 Syrah / Shiraz wines were tasted from 26 countries across the globe in Ampuis Castle, which overlooks the Rhone River in Ampuis, France. Serafino Terremoto is sourced from a single Syrah vineyard situated on a gentle north facing slope in the heart of McLaren Vale, with spectacular views to the sea and surrounding districts. “This exciting Syrah is a celebration of McLaren Vale from a single block with unique characters and flavour profiles” Winemaker Charles Whish said wine writer James Halliday first tasted this wine in July 2013, giving it a rating of 96/100 in the ‘Top Cellaring Selections’ June July 2014 Wine Companion edition. “…this surely has to be the best SA Shiraz of the vintage, Grange a long way off being released, and who knows how successful it will be. This has the complete galaxy of McLaren Vale Shiraz, sumptuous black fruits, licorice and dark chocolate flavours achieved
without any sign of forced extraction” said Halliday. This 2011 vintage was also awarded a gold medal at the 2014 AWC Vienna Wine Show Awards.
