How  to  upload  a  video      Having  reached  Level  2,  contributors  have  

unlocked  the  ability  to  upload  &  embed  videos  at  the  top  of  their  articles.  

               

                   

To  do  so,  click  ‘Add  Video’.                                    

 

   

The  following  box  will  appear.  You  must  enter  a  video  embedding  code  which  can  be  taken  from  YouTube.          

                                 

         

               

To  retrieve  this  code,  click  ‘Share’.                              

           

                       

Then,  click  ‘Embed’.                                  

 

               

Now  you  have  your  video  embedding  code.  Select/highlight  the  code,  right-­‐click  &  hit  copy.  

                                     

 Paste  the  code  into  the  video  upload  box  in  the  CMS.    Here,  you  need  to  change  the  video  dimensions  to  make  it  the  correct  size  

for  the  GiveMeSport  website.      

Change  the  ‘iframe  width’  to  650  &  and  ‘height’  to  420.  Ensure  you  do  not  delete/change  any  other  details  as  this  will  stop  the  video  from  uploading.  

     

 When  that’s  done,  click  ‘Select’.  

 

       

   

 Having  done  that,  you  will  be  taken  back  to  your  article.  From  

here,  you  can  write  &  upload  your  work  as  normal.    

When  you’re  happy  with  your  article,  click  ‘Submit’  at  the  bottom  of  the  page.  One  of  our  Academy  team  will  review  your  

article  within  24  hours.
