Squirtle, Wartortle, Blastoise (Pokemon Shot and Cocktails)

Ingredients:

Squirtle-

1/3 shot spiced rum

1/3 shot coconut rum

1/3 shot blue curacao

Wartortle-

1/2 shot spiced rum

1/2 shot coconut rum

1/2 shot blue curacao

Fill with Mountain Dew Voltage

Blastoise-

1 Squirtle

1 Wartortle

1 shot light rum

Fill with Mountain Dew Voltage

Directions: For the Squirtle shot, simply pour all three ingredients into a shot

glass. For the Wartortle cocktail, shake the alcoholic ingredients, pour over

crushed ice in a lowball glass, then fill with Mountain Dew Voltage. For the

Blastoise cocktail, pour one Squirtle and one Wartortle into a highball glass

over ice, add the light rum, then fill with the Mountain Dew.

Kick *** and Chew Bubblegum (Duke Nukem Forever Cocktails)

Ingredients:

1 glass Coca-Cola

3/4 shot coffee

1/2 shot scotch

3/4 shot whiskey

1 glass lemonade

1 shot bubblegum vodka

1/2 shot grenadine

Directions: For Kick ***, pour the Coke into a lowball glass. Add the other

ingredients and mix by stirring. For Chew Bubblegum, shake all ingredients

together and pour into a lowball glass. Add a gum ball as a garnish.

Its time to kick *** and chew bubblegum. And Im all out of gum. -DukeNukem

Nukem (Duke Nukem Forever Cocktail)

Ingredients:

1 glass Mello Yellow

1 shot vodka

1 splash spiced rum

1 splash moonshine (or any other high proof liquor)

Directions: Mix the first three ingredients and pour into a glass. Float your

moonshine on top (we used moonshine because its the closest thing to, you

know, nuclear waste or gasoline. You can buy moonshine from most liquor

stores, but any high proof alcohol will do). Nuke that splody barrel and ignite

the moonshine. Enjoy the flames, then extinguish and serve.

Miles Tails Prower (Sonic the Hedgehog Cocktail)

Ingredients:

1 part grenadine

1 part vodka

2 parts coconut vodka

2 parts orange juice

1 orange peel

Directions: Pour the grenadine into an empty glass (preferably a tall and thin

glass). Mix the vodka, coconut vodka, and orange juice separately, then

layer the mix into your glass on top of the grenadine. Last, slice your thin

orange peel down the center to make the tails and place in shot.

Negascott - Scott Pilgrim (Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game Cocktail)

Ingredients:

3 cl dark rum

1 cl amaretto

1 cl simple syrup

1 cl fresh pressed lemon juice

Fill with orange juice

Directions: Pour the first four ingredients in a lowball glass, over ice. Fill the

rest of the glass with orange juice and mix thoroughly.

Ramona: I thought you didnt drink.

Scott: Only on special occasions.

The Joining (Dragon Age: Origins Cocktail)

Ingredients:

1.5cl Hpnotiq

Splash of 151 rum (to taste)

Directions: Layer the ingredients in a shot glass using a spoon, with the

Hpnotiq on the bottom, dark rum in the middle, and 151 rum on the top.

Enchantment?

Phoenix Down (Final Fantasy Cocktail)

Ingredients:

1/2 shot Absinthe

1/2 shot Zwack (Jagermeister will work too)

2 tsp. Simple Syrup

1 Splash Grenadine

Fill rest of the glass with Club Soda

Directions: Mix the absinthe, syrup, and soda water in a smaller glass (a

perigord absinthe glass is used in the picture) until the drink becomes

opalescent. Add ice if you prefer the drink really cold. Before serving, add

the Zwack and grenadine. Both will settle nicely, leaving a nice orange onthe top and a deep crimson below.

Unfortunately, Phoenix Downs may not be 100% effective when raising the

dead, as Im sure some spiky-headed ex-SOLDIERs know.

MotherShip (Starcraft II Cocktail)

Ingredients:

1 cl vodka

1 cl light rum

1 cl gin

1 cl tequila

Directions: Shake the first eight ingredients and top with Sprite in a highball

Subspace Speed Pass - Ramona Flowers (Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The

Game Cocktail)

Ingredients:

1cl Grenadine

1cl Parfait Amour

1cl Blue Curacao

1cl Melon liqueur

1cl Vodka

Directions: Layer each ingredient into a tall shot glass in the order given. Use

a starfruit (carambola) for a garnish.

Directions: Place shot glass and all ingredients in the freezer and chill

thoroughly. Remove, pour in mentholmint schnapps, mix hpnotiq and vodka

and layer on top of schnapps. Down quickly while its still cold.

Ryncol (Mass Effect 2 Cocktail)

Ingredients:

1 oz absinthe

1 oz grain alcohol

1 dash blue curacao

Directions: Shake all ingredients and pour into a small glass. Warning: not to

be drank with other mysterious green liquids or batarian ale. Otherwise you

might end up like this Shepard.

This is krogan liquor - ryncol. Youll set off radiological alarms after you

drink it. Should I pour you a quad?

YRP (Final Fantasy X-2 Cocktail)

Ingredients:

2 cl Dark Rum

2 cl Bols Peach

2 cl Passo

5 cl Apple Juice

2 lime wedges

Directions: Shake ingredients and serve with ice in a highball glass. Add lime

wedges and enjoy.

YRP in position. Its showtime girls.

Helldorado (Uncharted 2 Cocktail)

Ingredients:

3 oz. pineapple juice

1/2 oz. blue curacao

1 1/2 oz. Puerto Rican rum

1 oz cream of coconut

Directions: Pour ingredients into glass over crushed ice. Stir gently and

enjoy.

Karma Moment (Infamous Cocktail)

Ingredients:

2 oz. Gin

2 oz. Tonic Water

1 dash of Blue Curacao OR Creme de Noyaux (depending of if you feel good

or evil)

Directions: For this deliciously good/evil gin and tonic modification, fill a glass

with ice. Pour the gin over the ice first, then the tonic water. Add a dash of

blue curacao for good, or a dash of Creme de Noyaux for evil.

Diamond Dust (Final Fantasy Cocktail)

Ingredients:

3 cl Smirnoff Green Apple Twist

2 cl White Rum

Sprite

Directions: Fill a cocktail glass half full of crushed ice. Shake first two

Liquid Snake (Metal Gear Solid Cocktail)

Ingedients:

2 oz Whiskey

1/2 oz Sweet Vermouth

1/2 oz Dry Vermouth

1 dash bitters

1 gummi worm (or snake)

Directions: Combine all ingredients into a glass, stir, and enjoy. Note: this

drink is essentially a perfect manhattan with gummi worms instead of a

cherry, but dont tell Foxhound.

The Peyj (Beyond Good & Evil Cocktail)

Ingredients:

60 mls bacon rum

10 mls maple syrup

3 dashes Angostura bitters

10 mls water

Directions: Place all ingredients in glass. Fill the glass with ice and stir until

the cocktail is very cold. Drink with friends and discuss how much Beyond

Good & Evil 2 needs to come out.

Now, bacon rum isnt that common. In addition to sending in his recipe for

this cocktail, Shay Leighton also sent in the recipe he uses to make your very

own bacon rum.

First, I must confess after some of the long nights of Cocktails and Games

down at the Mana Bar there has been known to be some (very) sore heads,

and as any good gamer knows the only one cure for a hangover is BACON.

Sadly for this drink you are going to need to eat piles of it, or you could invite

your gang around for a post drinks night breakfast.

First job you need to do is cook about 1.5kg (3.3 lbs) of bacon. Youre going

to really want to fry that sucker because we need to collect as much fat as

we can. The way to do this is just cook a couple of rashers of bacon at a time,

remove the bacon (do with this what you may) then pour the fat off into

another pot on the side.

Next we are going to get our bottle of Rum (I use and recommend Appleton

Estate VX) and pour it in to a large mixing bowl. Please make sure to that the

rum you are using is not garbage, it will ruin this drink terribly.

Once you have cooked all your bacon and collected all of the fat. Place the

Fat Pot on a very low heat till all the fat is liquid again. Then pour you

warmed fat into your rum and stir for about 10 min. really mix it right in. You

want to then cling film over the top of the mixing bowl. Leave out (at room

temperature) for 3-4 hour then stick it in the fridge over night.

The next day strain the, now solid fat and rum though something (I use

cheese cloth) back into the original bottle.

Now we have Bacon Rum.

Zero Suit Samus (Metroid Cocktail)

Ingredients:

1 1/2 oz. Hpnotiq

1 oz. Blue Curacao

1/2 oz. freshly squeezed orange juice

A splash of Midori

A splash of Apple Pucker

3/4 cup ice

Directions: Squeeze the juice out of half an orange and use a scoop to

remove the pulp, leaving you with just a clean rind. Measure the juice to 1/2

oz. and blend all ingredients together and strain into a glass. Place the

orange over the glass and serve. Before drinking, remove the armor and

enjoy.

The Kirby (Kirby Cocktail)

Ingredients:

1 cherry jello shot made with Malibu Coconut Rum

4 oz. pink lemonade

2 oz. Bacardi Superior Rum

1 oz. Hiram Walker Blackberry Brandy

Directions: Place the jello shot in the bottom of the glass first. Slowly pour in

pink lemonade, rum, and brandy. If done properly, the jello shot will stay at

the bottom of the glass. Drink the alcohol and eat the jello shot last. The

jello shot, according to drinks creator Shana, absorbs the alcohol in the

drink, just as Kirby absorbs his enemies powers!

Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur (Pokemon Shot and Cocktails)

Ingredients:

Bulbasaur-

1/2 shot lime vodka

1/4 shot lime juice

1/4 shot melon liqueur

Ivysaur-

1 shot lime vodka

1 shot lime juice

1 shot melon liqueur

1 shot sprite

Venusaur-

1 Bulbasaur

1 Ivysaur

1 shot lime vodka

1 shot lime juice

1 shot sprite

Directions: For the Bulbasaur shot, simply mix all three ingredients into a

shot glass. For the Ivysaur cocktail, shake all ingredients and pour over ice in

a rocks glass. Add a stem of mint as a garnish. Finally, to evolve to the

Venusaur cocktail, shake a Bulbasaur shot together with an Ivysaur cocktail,

along with an additional shot of lime vodka, lime juice, and sprite, and pour

over ice into a highball glass. Again, add a few leaves of mint as a garnish.

This is part of a series of Pokemon themed drinks I will be making soon.

The Rainbow Road Shot Challenge

The Drunken Moogle reader Mar and her husband submitted a combination of

shots, meant to be taken together, called the Rainbow Road Shot challenge.

Each shot represents a monster in the Mario universe. As the monsters get

stronger down the road, so does the shot! Participants start out with the

Goomba shot and end with the flaming Bowser shot.

Goomba: Kahlua & cream

Koopa: Mojito - light rum, mint, and simple syrup, with a mint sugar rim

Boo: Vanilla infused vodka & non-dairy creamer

Thwamp: Blueberry vodka jello shot, with blue sugar rim

Dry Bones: Dirty Gin Martini

Bowser: Thai bird chili & cinnamon candy infused bacardi 151, with cinnamon

sugar rim (Light the shot on fire, but BE CAREFUL! Lighting the shot on fire is

optional; The Drunken Moogle isnt responsible if you burn your face off.)

Bloody Rose (Bayonetta Cocktail)

Ingredients:

5 oz. Coca-Cola

1 1/2 oz light Rum

3 oz cherry Vodka

1/4 cup chocolate chips

1 cherry lollipop

Directions: Fill a tumbler 2/3 of the way with ice. Pour in the Coke, rum, and

vodka. Microwave the chocolate chips for 30 seconds and stir so theyre

melted, then get all of the chocolate on the spoon and dump it into the drink.Stir with the lollipop.

Note: When you put it in, the chocolate will harden pretty quickly, so it isnt

suggested you put the spoon into the drink to get it off of the spoon. Also,

even though you cant really taste the alcohol, this drink will hit you hard.

Fat Man (Fallout 3 Cocktail)

Ingredients:

3/4 shot Spiced Rum

1/4 shot Cinnamon Whiskey

1 shot Vanilla Vodka

6 shots Dr. Pepper

Directions: Pour the Dr. Pepper in a highball glass and mix in the shot of

vanilla vodka. Pour the spiced rum and cinnamon whiskey into a shot glass.

Make sure bystanders are out of blast radius and deploy the fat man (er, drop

the shot into the highball glass). Consume and make sure to find some Rad

Away, quick! Speaking of Rad Away, you might be able to find a homemade

recipe on this site soon

Waltz on the Moon (Final Fantasy VIII Cocktail)

Ingredients:

1 cl Bols Lychee

1 cl Bols Banana

3 cl Apple Juice

2 cl Orange Juice

Directions: Shake with ice and strain into Cocktail glass. Add a lime wedgefor a garnish.

Squall seems just a bit tense during his dance with Rinoa. Perhaps a drink

break would be best?

Ocarina of Lime (The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Cocktail)

In honor of the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for the Nintendo3DS, here is Mana Bars Zelda inspired cocktail, Ocarina of Lime.

Masses of Bacardi Superior Rum smashed with fresh lime, mint leaves,

sweetened with a teaspoon of brown sugar and blended with sparkling

water. Yes, this is just the name of a Mojito at Mana Bar, but still, this is

awesome.

Freezard (The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Cocktail)

Ingredients:

1.5 parts UV Blue Vodka

1.5 parts Lemonade

1 part Mountain Dew White Out (limited edition)

Directions: Fill glass with ice, crushed or otherwise. Pour UV Blue and

lemonade into the glass, then top with Mountain Dew White Out.

Watch out for its freezing breath! Destroy it completely before it revives.

Princess Peach Sangria (Super Mario Brothers Cocktail)

Ingredients:

3 oz. Riesling (chilled would probably be best)

1 oz. sparkling water

0.5 oz. Triple Sec

0.5 oz. pear juice

1 tsp. sugar

1/4 tsp. grenadine

dash of lime juice

Some sliced peaches

Directions: Mix everything except the peaches and sparkling water in a

shaker. Shake with ice if the wine isnt chilled. Place peaches in the bottom ofa glass, pour in the shaken mixture and add the sparkling water.

Warp Pipe (Super Mario Bros. Cocktail)

Ingredients:

3/4 shot Blue Curacao

1/2 bottle Mikes Hard Limeade

1/2 shot Bols Melon

1/2 Lime (cut into wedges)

Directions: Cut your half a lime into four wedges. Squeeze the lime juice into

a highball glass and then drop them in the bottom. Add some ice overtop the

limes, then pour in the Blue Curacao. Add the Mikes Hard Limeade until the

glass is almost full, then top with your Bols Melon. Stir a bit with a straw and

enjoy. Tip: make sure you dont add too much Bols Melon, or the melon

flavor will overpower the lime. This is a great summer drink!

Shadow the Hedgehog (Sonic the Hedgehog Shot)

Ingredients:

1 oz. Grenadine

2 oz. Captain Morgans Tattoo (Spiced Rum)

Top with a splash of Vanilla Vodka

Directions: Pour the grenadine into a double shot glass. Layer the Tattoo rum

on top by pouring over a bar spoon. Top off with a short layer of vanilla

vodka.

Cactuar (Final Fantasy Cocktail)

Ingredients:

1 cl Gold Tequila

2 cl Bols Blue

2 cl Orange Juice

Directions: Shaken and put into a Highballs Glass filled with ice cubes. Use

an orange wedge as a garnish.

T-Virus Antidote (Resident Evil Shot)

Ingredients:

3/4 shot Silver Rum

1/4 shot Watermelon Vodka

1 Green Twizzler

Directions: Wind a green Twizzler around a tall double shot glass. It should

stick to the sides of the glass. Pour in the silver rum and top with the

watermelon Vodka. Drink, then eat the Twizzler. You will have to fish out the

Twizzler with your finger after you drink, as it will still be stuck to the side of

the shot glass.

Accidentally drink/get infected with the T-Virus? Well, theres only two cures

for that, and one is a bullet (probably not choice number one). The second,

more fun choice is to ingest the antidote, which was luckily made just in time.

T-Virus (Resident Evil Shot)

Ingredients:

3/4 shot Silver Rum

1/4 shot Everclear

1 Blue Twizzler

Directions: Wind a blue Twizzler around a tall double shot glass. It should

stick to the sides of the glass. Pour in the silver rum and top with the

Everclear. Drink, then eat the Twizzler for a sweet and tangy aftertaste. You

will have to fish out the Twizzler with your finger after you drink, as it will stillbe stuck to the side of the shot glass.

Mudkip (Pokemon Shot)

Ingredients:

1/2 ounce Peach Schnapps (Peachtree)

1 ounce Blue Curacao (Dekuyper)

3/8 ounce Caramel Liquor (Southern Comfort)

Directions: Pour the Blue Curacao into a double shot glass and then, using a

bar spoon, layer the Peach Schnapps and Caramel Liquor on top in that order.

Revolver Ocelot (Metal Gear Solid shots)

Ingredients:

1 1/2 shot Vodka

1 1/2 shot Wild Turkey American Honey

3 shots Sprite

Directions: Pour half a shot of vodka into three shot glasses. Do the same

with the American Honey. Top each with half a shot of Sprite. To drink, do all

six shots quickly in succession, as if emptying a revolver. Alternate between

shots of the vodka and American Honey for the best effect.

This is a mans drink. Though Sprite is added to the top of each shot, fear

not, youll still taste the alcohol. And it tastes good. The vodka represents

the Russian in Ocelot and the American Honey, the American.

I love to reload during a battle! Theres nothing like the feeling of slamming

a long silver bullet into a well greased chamber. -Revolver Ocelot

Isle Delfino (Super Mario Sunshine cocktail)

Ingredients:

1 shot Watermelon Vodka

2 shots Roses Blue Raspberry Mix (Cocktail Infusions)

Directions: Pour in the Watermelon Vodka in a rocks glass over ice. Add the

Blueberry Martini Mix next and then layer the Monster on top.

Little Mario and Luigi (Super Mario Brothers shot)

Ingredients:

1 cl Grenadine

1 cl Kiwi Bols

Directions: Add the Grenadine to the shot glass first, then pour the Kiwi Bols

over a spoon, creating a nice layered shot. The sweetness of the Grenadine

sourness of the Kiwi Bols balance the shot nicely.

Mario and Luigi: Bowsers Your Inside Story. Now at a bar near you!

Metroid (Metroid Cocktail)

Ingredients:

1/2 shot Bacardi Big Apple Rum

1/2 shot Coconut Rum

1/2 glass Kiwi Strawberry Minute Maid (or Kool-Aid)

A little less than 1/2 a glass Sprite

3 Strawberries

Directions: Shake the two rums and Kiwi Strawberry Minute Maid and pour

into a lowball glass. Add the Sprite for a bit of flavor and carbonation. Drop in

three strawberries as a garnish. If you choose, you can use your ice beam

freezer to cool the alcohol before you make the drink.

Golden Chocobo (Final Fantasy Cocktail)

Ingredients:

1/2 shot of Goldschlager Cinnamon Schnapps Liqueur

1/2 shot of Wild Turkeys American Honey

1 Can of Ginger Ale

Directions: Shake the American Honey and Goldschlager and pour into an

Irish coffee glass. Add the ginger ale until the glass is full and then stir to mix

up the gold particles. Go to the race track, bet on your favorite chocobo,

drink and profit.

With Final Fantasy XIII being released everywhere outside Japan this Tuesday,

I thought it was time to make a Final Fantasy drink. The Goldschlager gives

the drink a strong cinnamon taste and the gold flakes add a nice visual touchfor a drink made in honor of the prized golden chocobo. Wild Turkey

American Honey is a nice smooth liqueur blended with pure honey and

bourbon whiskey. Its quiet sweet but still has a nice bourbon flavor, great

to drink alone if you have the chance. Mixed all together, the drink has a

sweet bite and nice aftertaste. I hope you all will enjoy it while you play Final

Fantasy XIII next week!

Chell (Portal Cocktail)

Ingredients:

5 cl Cranberry Juice

3 cl Grape Juice

2 cl Apple Juice

1 cl Lime Juice

2 cl gin

3 lime wedges

Directions: Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into ice-filled Highball

glass. Ad the lime wedges as garnishes.

Bombchu (Legend of Zelda Cocktail)

Ingredients:

1 shot Blue Curacao

1 shot Blueberry Vodka

1 Red Bull

A splash of Simple Syrup

Directions: Pour the Red Bull into a tall glass. Mix in the Blueberry Vodka anda bit of simple syrup. Pour a shot of Blue Curacao in a separate shot glass.

When ready to drink, drop the shot into the tall glass and drink quickly.

Phoenix Down (Final Fantasy Shot)

Ingredients:

1 cl Cointreau

1 cl Tequilla

1 cl Orange Juice

cl Grenadine

Directions: Shake the first 3 ingredients. Then pour Grenadine into Shot.

A quick pick me up, for when youre feeling down. Or dead.

Princess Peach (Super Mario Brothers Cocktail)

The Crimson Omen (Gears of War Cocktail)

Ingredients:

1 shot Black Cherry Vodka

1 shot Captain Morgans Tattoo (Spiced Rum)

Fill the rest with Cheerwine Soda

Directions: Mix the first three ingredients and pour. Fill the rest of the glass

with Cheerwine and stir. Add a few ice cubes if you wish.

I love this drink. Cheerwine is a cherry soda that is slightly uncommon, but I

believe most Walmarts and Krogers carry it now. The very sweet cherry

flavor goes great with the black cherry vodka and the smooth spiced rum.

Grenadine adds to the sugary cherry flavor and makes this drink very sweet.

If you want something that tastes a bit harder, leave out the grenadine and

the drink will have a bit more kick. The color comes out as a perfect crimson.

If youre looking for a sweet, cherry drink to sip on while sawing down some

Locusts, the Crimson Omen is it.

Yoshi (Mario Cocktail)

Ingredients:

2 cl Sour Apple liqueur

1 cl Melon Bols

1 cl Lime juice

4 cl Apple juice

Directions: Shake. Serve with ice. Use two lime wedges as garnishes.

Summoner Yuna (Final Fantasy Mixed Drink)

Ingredients:

2 cl Gin

1 cl Galliano

1 cl Passo

Directions: Pour gin and galliano in a Highballs Glass filled with ice cubes. Fill

up with Sprite and top up with the Passo. Add a lime.

a small glass and add one or two cherries to sit at the bottom.

Bowser (Super Mario Mixed Drink)

Ingredients:

2 cl Tequila

1 cl Cointreau

5 cl Orange juice

1 cl Grenadine

Directions: Stir first three ingredients, then drop in Grenadine for the gradient

effect. Serve with ice in tall glass. Add a blood orange wedge as a garnish.

Will make you feel like you can breathe fire. You cant.

I thought this idea was pretty cool. Just take one Life Stream mixed drink and

pour a One Winged Angel shot into it. Not only does it look cool, but I bet it

tastes great!

Ingredients:

1/3 shot Grenadine

1/3 shot Hot n Sweet

1/3 shot Dark Rum

This Sephiroth shot sounds wickedly sweet and harsh. Please keep awayfrom any dainty women in pink.

Life Stream (Final Fantasy VII Mixed Drink)

Ingredients:

4 cl Barcardi Lemon

1 cl Peppermint Green

3 cl Apple Juice

1 cl Lime

Sprite

Directions:

Shake first with the top 4 ingredients. Then top up with Sprite in a Highballs

Glass filled with ice cubes.

Plasmid (Bioshock cocktail)

Ingredients:

30ml Smirnoff Vodka

20ml Blue Curacao

10ml Myrtille

Small bit of Lemon Juice

Champagne (however much you want, at the end)

Directions: Fill a tall glass with ice and crush with a pestle, adding to the ice

until it fills the class three-quarters full. Grab your cocktail shaker and pour

in the vodka, Blue Curacao, Myrtille, and lemon juice. Now pour that into

your glass until thats three-quarters full. Top off the rest of the glass with

champagne and add fresh blueberries and blackberries.

Warning: Plasmids have addicting qualities and may or may not give you the

ability to freeze humans. Results may vary.

Ivy Valentine (Soul Calibur Cocktail)

Ingredients:

2 ounces London dry gin

1/2 ounce Cointreau

1/ ounce lemon juice
