The Prophetic Pronouncementsof Hazrat Ahmadas

What has roused my sympathy is that I have discovered a gold mine and have

been informed of a deposit of precious stones. In this mine I have been fortunate enough to find a shining and priceless diamond. Its value is so great that if I were to divide its price among the whole of mankind, each of them would become wealthier than the person who owns the largest amount of gold and silver in the world. What is that diamond? It is the True God, and to acquire Him means to recognize Him, to believe in Him truly, to establish the relationship of true love with Him, and to receive true blessings from Him…

The fact that the treasures that have been bestowed upon me comprise of real diamonds, gold and silver can be easily ascertained. All these coins and jewels bear the royal mark, that is to say, I have heavenly testimonies which no one else has. I have been told that of all the faiths, Islam is the only true faith; and that of all guidance, the guidance contained in the Qur’an alone is true in every respect and is free from human interpolation. I have been made to understand that of all the Messengersas, the one who has brought the most perfect holy and wise teaching and who practically demonstrated human excellences at the highest level is our lord and master Muhammad, the Chosen Onesaw. I have been informed through pure and sacred revelation vouchsafed to me by God Almighty that I am the Promised Messiah and the Promised Mahdi sent by Him, and that I am the Hakam [Arbiter] of the internal and external differences. The Holy Prophetsaw has honored me by bestowing upon me the names of Messiah and Mahdi. God has also called me by the same names in His direct word…These are thus the three witnesses to these names of mine. I call to witness my God, Who is the Master of heaven and earth, that I am from Him and He bears witness to me through His signs. If anyone can compete with me in the matter of heavenly signs, then I am false. If

anyone can prove himself my equal in the matter of the acceptance of prayers, then I am false. If anyone can prove himself my equal in expounding the verities and the fine points of the Holy Qur’an, then I am false. If anyone can prove my equal in disclosing that which is hidden and foretelling, with the mighty Power of God, the mysteries before their time, then I am not from Him. (Excerpt from Arbaeen #1)

EDITOR’S COMMENTSIt is interesting to note that this story is written seven months after the demise of Hazrat Ahmadas but precisely records the success of his Mubahila with Alexander Dowie that occurred two years

ago and also eludes to the last book of Hazrat Ahmadas entitled: Message of Peace. In this book Hazrat Ahmadas presents a solution to the age old friction between Hindus and Muslims. This

remarkable message has also been presented by Mr. Steve Harper, the then the Prime Minister of Canada in the G-8 meeting he attended in Japan a few years ago.

Comments

As much as the significance of prayers is concerned in this write up, is very relevent and significant, but the analogy drawn from it is not relevent as in the subsequent story truth verses falsehood is the theme whereby truth

always prevails. This is also eluted in the statement that “The Chicago pretender cannot afford to decline,” further it is stated, “Dowie has not yet indicated his decision, but if he decines to accept this novel challenge

the public may look for a rapid decline in Dowie stock.” This is what exactly happened and Dowie died a miserable death in March 1907 as was predicted in the prophecy.

This is a Catholic newspaper published from Salt Lake City in Utah. Being from Catholicism, they understand the significance of Messiah and Elijah both, yet they are calling Alexander Dowie an imposter and labeling the call of Hazrat Ahmadas very much to the point and admitting that Dowie was making attacks, plain and simple. The author considers the Eastern ideology to be the light that will illumine the West. An

interesting observation indeed!

Initiation of the Newspaper Al-Fazl and the great sacrifice of Hazrat Mahmooda Begum, wife of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih IIra

“Allah the Almighty put this in the heart of my wife the same way he put it in the heart of Hazrat Khadijara to help the Holy Prophetsaw. She [my wife], knowing full well, that putting money in a newspaper is like throwing your money down the drain, and especially such newspaper, whose founder is Mahmood, who is the probably the most despised in the present time, still gave two pieces of her jewelry to me to be sold and used for starting this newspaper. One item was her personal bracelet and another was her bracelet from her childhood which she had saved to be used by our daughter, Nasira Begum. I took these bracelets and went immediately to Lahore and sold them for 475 Rupees. This was the startup fund for Al-Fazl. Al-Fazl will keep alive my helplessness and my wife’s sacrifice with it. How true that woman is a silent worker. Her example is like the rose flower which is used to make perfume. People remember the store where they bought the perfume but no one thinks of the rose which died for their happiness. I wonder if Allah did not create these means what would I have done. Which door of service would have opened

for me?” (Tarikh Lajna Imaillah, Volume 1, page 16 )

Allah will definitely build a house for that poor woman

Regarding the sacrifices of women, Hadrat Khalifatul Masih IIra says: “It is the blessing of the Khilafat that you are seeing such sacrifices from the poor and needy of Qadian, the like of which cannot be presented from any other community. Even today, I was surprised, when a woman, whose entire fortune is 100-150 rupees and who has converted to Islam from Hinduism, came up to me and offered me five bills of 10 rupees each for the extension of the mosque. At that time I thought in my heart that this woman has donated half or one-third of her entire wealth for building the house of Allah then why shouldn’t we have firm faith that God will make a house for His poor servant in

Heaven and will reward her from His blessings.” (Al Fazl, March 14, 1944, page 11)

Sadr Lajna [President of Women’s Auxiliary] of Ivory Coast writes that this year at the occasion of the meeting of the Majlis-e-Shura [the consultative body], an appeal was made to collect donations for the central mosque as this was the 50–year Jubilee of the Ivory Coast Jama’at. The members of Lajna pledged 100,000 CFA right there and then, and the Secretary Tehrike Jadid, who is a devoted Ahmadi, fulfilled the pledge right there as well. It is a great amount for those people. Even though 100,000 CFA is only equivalent of 135 GBP but it is a huge amount for Africa especially considering that this lady only owned

a small vegetable shop and had a large family as well.

NATIONWIDE JAMA’AT CALL TO HELP BUILD

Zion city is that tiny speck on the world map where the

greatest SIGN OF ALLAH was manifested in 1907 when

a bitter enemy of Islam named Alexander Dowie met

his destruction as a result of the famous Mubahila

challenge (Prayer Duel) by Hazrat Ahmad (as).

In order to commemorate this great sign of victory,

Jama’at USA has been tasked to build a Mosque, a

Museum and a replica of Minaratul Masih to keep this

great sign alive for generations to come. The Mosque

will be funded by Lajna Imaillah USA and the rest by

Men, Insha’Allah. The total cost is $4.0 Million, out of

which $1.2 Million is being raised by women and $2.8

Million is being raised by men. May Allah give us all the

opportunity to be part of this blessed scheme.
