Tradewinds opened its 7th parasol & leisure store in Glencairn on Saturday 28 November. These successful retail stores, posting a year on year growth of 35%, are stocked with Tradewinds umbrellas and leisure furniture.

Asked to comment on the success of their retail stores, Tradewinds managing director Henri Hattingh said the group’s retail stores are successful because they offer real value for money to consumers. Most parasol prod-ucts distributed through retails stores are over-runs or b-grade products, allowing for ex-ceptional value. Furniture however are mostly

imported, ranging from timber, aluminimum to wicker products.

Other Tradewinds retails stores are located in Landsdowne, Paarl, Paarden Eiland, Port Elizabeth and two stores in Fourways, Johan-nesburg.

Tradewinds is a world leading manufacturer of highend branded parasols, supplying to most of Coca Cola, Unilever and other popluar brands in Europe. In Dubai, Hattingh says, the company commands approximately 80% of the high end parasol market. Most hotels, such as the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah, have about 250 to 300 plain canvas parasols out on their pool and beach areas.

Tradewinds Glencairn are also selling high quality wine & olive products from the Klooven-burg Estate. A wine expert from Kloovenburg is on hand every Friday afternoon and on Sun-days to do wine & olive tastings.

milk thistle Liora Henen of Health Matters

milk thistle COMMON NAME Milk Thistle LATIN NAMES Carduus marianus/ Silybum marianumPART USED SeedsCONSTITUENTS Silymarin and Bitter principlesINTRODUCTION Milk Thistle is native to the Mediterranean, growing wildly throughout Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. It is an annual or biennial plant with purple thistle-like flower heads which bloom in summer. Seeds are gathered in late summer.

VIBRANT LIFE PAGE 10

INDICATIONS & USES:

Traditionally, the flower heads of the plant were boiled & eaten, considered extremely valuable as a spring tonic after what was deemed to be previ-ously nutritionally deficient months. They were also consumed in order to increase breast-milk production, as well as being regarded as a favourable treatment for melancholia (i.e. depres-sion), that which was associated con-ventionally with the liver.

Today, it is the seeds of the plant mainly that have become the essen-tial & choice remedy, used in Western herbal medicine, to protect the liver against damage & toxins, helping too to renew its cells & greatly improve its function. Milk Thistle is used to treat chronic liver disease, such as hepatitis

& jaundice, as well as conditions where the liv-er is clearly under stress, be it through alcohol overindulgence, infection or chemotherapy; the latter of which can successfully be aided by administering Milk Thistle, whose beneficial & subsequently nutritional support seems to considerably minimize the side effects of can-cer chemotherapy.

PREPARATION & DOSAGE:

Tincture: 5-15 drops 3 times daily prescribed most often for chronic liver conditions. Decoc-tion: 20 grams of the dried root to 750 ml of cold water, reduced to about 500 ml after simmering for approximately 15-20 minutes. Strain and drink hot or cold 3 to 4 times a day. Use lemon and/or honey to sweeten.

Liora Henen has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology & an Honours Degree in Journalism from Rhodes University, as well as a Degree in Phytotherapy (i.e. Herbal Medicine) from the British School of Phytotherapy in East Sussex. Light medicine is being hailed as the medicine of the future, but has, of course, been around for thousands of years. The ancient Greeks, Romans and Egyptians all understood the power of light therapy and recognized its potent healing action on the body, mind and spirit.

The RIKTA is a medical device with EU and South African registration. It was developed in Russia as part of the space program and soon spread throughout the country as a home device for treat-ing common ailments. The RIKTA uses three different electromagnetic fields. The most important is the infrared laser. This is supported by colour (red and blue-green) and a constant weak mag-netic field. The combination of these three fields seems to have a powerful synergistic effect on biological tissue. The use of low-energy laser (as opposed to high-energy laser used as a surgical knife) is one of the best kept secrets in medicine. It has remarkable healing potential and has been studied for almost 30 years. This portable device can be used in three different ways.Firstly, it can be used locally over painful or diseased areas. Secondly, it can be used over major blood vessels to irradiate the blood and flood the blood with photons to be distributed to every part of the body; and thirdly over organs. In Moscow Professor Kaplan has shown that by moving the probe over the chest wall, one can observe revascularization of the heart muscle in people with poor blood supply. The RIKTA has powerful effects on wound healing, soft tissue repair, lymphatic drainage and it improves blood supply. It is useful in treating nerve injuries and is especially effective in all kinds of mucous membrane problems. In Russia and Europe it is used extensively by dentists for its anti-inflammatory, anti-edema and immunestimulating properties. Because of the RIKTA’s extremely low side-effect profile it can be used on everyone, from infants to the elderly, and while it is not recommended for use in pregnant women or cancer, no compli-cations have been noted. The versatility of the RIKTA allows it to be used by practitioners, thera-pists, nurses, pharmacists and many other specialists. Each practitioner can adapt the RIKTA to his or her purposes and combine it with other healing modalities.

So after previously suggesting that any old shampoo might do, (if you have great hair) let’s take a closer look at this issue. Shampoo is formulated to make hair clean; and the cheap one’s do it rather too well, with all the natural oil (sebum) stripped away and the typically alkaline PH raising the hair’s outer cuticle, leaving it dry and dull. The better variet-ies only remove the surface build up and gym perspiration, and should have a slight acid bal-ance to maintain a flat, smooth and protective cuticle layer. Tinted and chemically treated hair can ben-efit from conditioning additives (beer, egg, silk, milk etc.) with the current favourite be-ing variations of silicone oils (cyclomethicone, dimethicone), these leave a slight residue of oil on the hair, leaving it easier to comb and with a “conditioned” feel. The problem is that

this residue can become more than slight, and may result in flat, dull and greasy looking hair straight out of the shower! One is then obliged to buy a clarifying shampoo to remove this so called “build up”Our personal preference as a hair repair in-gredient is the old classic Panthenol. This is a natural derivative of vitamin B and is generally sourced from plants. It penetrates the hair, im-proving texture and shine, and used together with the phyto - chemical properties of our bo-tanical oils results in a product worth looking for. Formulations mixed around plant oils have a special synergy; for an experience of true luxury, pour a capful of our Tea Tree, Rosemary or Vitamin shampoo into the running water of your next bath – blissful bubbles. Be careful though, the effect may be natural, but it could be habit forming.

For years I have tried different spiritual prac-tices, but none of them spoke to my heart so instantly like the Sarva Shakti Sadhana prac-tice I learnt at a Jothi Body of Light Retreat, writes Terry de Vries.

I love chakra work and I love dancing – what better way to combine the two in a spiritual practice that is FUN! The SSS (short for Sarva Shakti Sadhana) is one of practices that you learn at the retreat to help clear and align the chakras so that the Jothi or Light can flow freely.

A fundamental desire common to all people is to be happy; to enjoy good health, harmonious relationships and true prosperity. This all is possible with Jothi.

When you receive Jothi it awakens the divine knowledge of the Christ Consciousness. Jothi and the Christ energies heal through restoring

the Christ, the map of consciousness to the cellular memory of the body. Your mind and body will be purified and you begin your jour-ney to ultimately manifest the Light Body (sud-dha deham).

According to Swami Ramalingam, one of the most notable saints in India who revealed the Jothi and its healing powers to mankind, humanity had lost their connection to their di-vine inner power, the Light or Jothi. Popularly known as Vallalar, he developed a system for people to reconnect to their own inner power or Light.

His unique philosophy called “Suddha San-marga” (the path of Light) had been the fore-runner of the Theosophical Society. During his lifetime (1823 – 1874) he manifested a triple light body overcoming death of the physical body which culminated in the dematerializa-tion of his physical body into the Light.

* After the Jothi Body of Light Retreat in February 2010 there will be two additional retreats, Inner Beauty and Inner Power. To read more about it, go to www.auradefence.org

This guarantees high levels of quality as construction takes place at an off site factory and offers a truly stream-lined process, as well as predictable timeframes and costs for our clients. Further, through factory-based construc-tion, impact on the new home site is minimized.

The ecomo home’s modular design means that it can be situated anywhere with little damage to the environment. A modular home also affords construction efficiencies, virtually eliminating waste materials that are normally associated with home building. How does one choose a good multivitamin with the variety of competing products on the market? The consumer is often stimulated by good marketing to choose a particular brand. However, is the consumer buying the best product available? Is it a good formulation? Is the consumer getting value for money?

At BioLife Nutrition we believe that taking a multivitamin daily is a good starting point to satisfy one’s nutritional supplement needs.

There are sufficient journal articles that show that a multivitamin a day can reduce the incidence of disease through improv-ing the ability of your immune system to resist the ’foreign invaders’. Particularly viruses and bacteria that abound in the environment.

The key to a good vitamin is the range of vitamins and minerals within the formulation, the number of anti-oxidants and the actual content of each in the capsule or tablet.

BioLife Multivitamin + Anti-Oxidants (including Homocysteine lowering formula) is just that. It compares more than favorably with the best in the world and is cost effective as well. It comes in two pack sizes. One is the 30s and the other is the 180s. The latter makes for a very economical family pack.

It contains a wide ranging anti-oxidant “army” consisting of Beta-Carotene, Vitamin E, Vita-min C, Zinc, Selenium, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Green Tea, Grape Seed Oil, Citrus Bioflavonoids and Lycopene. It also contains 400iu of Vitamin D3; its Zinc to Copper ratio is 15 to 1, and it also contains 800mcg of Folic Acid.

It has many supporting vitamins and minerals. It is also a vegicap made from Soya Bean Oil and is there-fore suitable for vegetarians. Because of the soya bean oil it has a reasonable quantity of omega 6, an essential fatty acid good for one’s health. Each capsule is more than a 1000mg of nutrition and leaves no space for inert fillers etc.

What makes a good Multivitamin?

Aries20 March – 19 April Lots of hard work this year for Aries, but if you are clever about it you can use the help available to you. You are however going to come up against a lot of challenges and obstacles in your work environment and struggle to achieve your goals, as there is a superior, boss/ authoritive figure that is making life in your work environment very challenging and almost trying to thwart your efforts. It is also very possible that your efforts will go unnoticed because of this person or they will be taking the credit for your work. Watch out for that.

Romantically it is also going to be a very challenging year, this is the time of either the break up of a relationship, or if you are not currently involved there is a new relationship on the cards, but it will not get off the ground that easily, however the attraction will be very powerful and you will put great effort in to get it going.

And lastly, there is a strong indication of a move of home as well.

Taurus20 April – 20 May This year you are emotionally in a very sen-sitive space. You are very focused on your home environment, possibly yearning to, or trying to start a family if you haven’t already, however, there does still exist a lot of very unsettled energy in your home environ-ment, possibly manifesting in arguments and quarrels with the people you live with, partners, family members etc. and all you are looking for is peace, quiet and a stable & secure home. Of course it could also be that you buy a house this year, as financially it is likely to be a very profitable year for you, but don’t expect it to just “fall in your lap”, you are still going to have to put in the hard work to achieve this, but it will pay off.

Another area of your life that is going through quite a major change is your spiritual life. You are going through a very significant spiritual time where you are being exposed to and open to a whole new world and discovering a lot about yourself on a much deeper level than before. This is going to be a wonderful experience.

Di Garven brings your your stars for 2010

Page 22: Vibrant Life issue 3

your stars for 2010

Gemini21 May – 20 June There is a lot of focus for you on creating financial stability and or success for yourself this year and by the looks of it, you will be successful, even if it looks like you need to take a risk, don’t be afraid, just make sure you have all your bases covered and it is a well calculated risk. However you do seem to be in a very confused space at the moment and not really sure of what you want from life and, or your career. You want to make a change, but not sure what, there seems to be a bit of a lack of focus. Be care-ful that this lack of focus does not cause you to make the wrong decisions, so rather leave things as they are for now. If anything, find yourself a creative hobby to take your mind off things and ease your restlessness a bit, possibly something like photography would help you. This would also be a very good time to learn to meditate if that is something that you would like to do.

Romantically there is a possibility of an of-fice romance, but be careful as it could turn sour and become the office scandal.

Cancer21 June – 21 July The main focus for you this year is personal relationships as things on the work front all seem good, not much upheaval there, although there may be some travelling on the cards for you during the year some time. You may also be showing interest in study-ing or learning a new skill to advance or accredit yourself.Socially you are not really in a space for

being out there, you just seem to want to withdraw and be introspective, but circum-stances are going to push you out there and force you to face the crowds and you need to stop worrying so much about everything and how others perceive you.

So the focus of the relationship is rather a difficult one. You are likely to become “smit-ten” with a person that is unavailable to you, if you are not currently in a relationship, this infatuation is very unlikely to develop into anything substantial or long term. But if you are currently involved be careful that this does not become destructive to your current relationship, unless of course you are unhappy, you will end that relationship, but do not rely on the “infatuation” to be-come anything real as mentioned before.

Leo22 July – 22 August There is a lot of diversity for you this year, change of job, change of partner and pos-sibly the home as well. You are extremely focussed on getting what you want and reaching your goals, and through it all you maintain your strong sense of indepen-dence or regain a wonderful new sense of independence. Your creative energy is very high and now is the time to write your memoirs that you have longed to write. Your creative ideas will also be benefiting you greatly in your work environment so don’t hold back, you will be recognised and rewarded for it.

VIBRANT LIFE PAGE 22

Page 23: Vibrant Life issue 3

your stars for 2010

You are going to be having a lot of fun this year as I am sure you are already experienc-ing. The light hearted Leo energy is shining very brightly, but just be careful that you don’t break too many hearts.

Virgo23 August – 21 September As a Virgo, your focus this year is on reorganizing your home and your life in general. Every thing seem to be up-side-down at the moment so you may find this a very frustrating year, as we know Virgo’s like order in their lives. Sudden events, like arguments or conflict of interests with your boss or a superior will cause you to re-think your current job situation and be tempted to leave. Be careful of taking rash & impulsive actions that you may regret later. Just sit tight for a while, as after your next birthday everything changes. Your mediation skills are particularly good at the moment and you may find yourself in the middle of other people’s conflicts that you are trying to sort out and this may just make things more difficult for you, so rather just try to stay out of it.

If you are planning to study or do any kind of travel this will also be a good time for that.

If you are single at the moment, a new romance is on the cards and it is most likely with a foreigner or somebody from a very different culture to you, but non-the-less an exciting adventure.

Libra22 September– 22 October For you the area of your life that is going to be most affected this year will be that of your home. Possible plans for plans for buy-ing or selling a house seem to be very rel-evant and likely to manifest, but there also seems to be a focus on study as well, so if you had any ideas about furthering your education for whatever reason – it does not necessarily have to be related to your career – then this is a good time to do it. There will be a lot of hard work involved, but you will find it greatly rewarding and it will end up benefiting your career as well.

As far as your work environment is con-cerned, there does seem to be some dishar-mony and conflict of interest there, so be careful of loosing your temper and saying or doing something that you may regret later. You are also likely to feel that you are being taken advantage of and being over-loaded at work.

And not much change in the romance area of your life at the moment.

Scorpio23 October – 21 November 2010 is going to be quite a nice year for you. There will be a lot of socializing and meeting of new friends as well as making some very good contacts and networking that will ben-efit your career. Also this is the year that you are probably going to get that promotion or

new job that you have been after. It is a year of being recognised and rewarded for your input at work as well as setting new goals for yourself. You will also be very focused and driven with a lot of energy to put into achieving what you want. Be careful of over extending yourself.

As far as romance goes, you are just enjoy-ing the people around you at the moment and the wonderful and exciting new friends that you are making. It’s a fun year, so enjoy it.

Sagittarius22 November – 20 DecemberThis is going to be more of an introspective year for you. The out-going and impulsive Sagittarius nature is likely to be a bit dampened. However there is opportunity for teaching or studying. You are also focused on creating financial independence for yourself if you are not already in that position.Romantically this is a bit of a dull year – not much happening there for you for the mo-ment, things will just pretty much stay the way they are for the time being, and if you do meet a possible candidate for a relation-ship, it is not likely to be long term. But emotionally you are more focused on your career and future goals anyway to be too concerned with romance.

Capricorn21 December – 19 JanuaryFor you Capricorns out there the main focus of 2010 will be relationship changes. This is the break-up of a relationship that has been coming for a while now and this can be a business partner or a personal relationship. But on a more positive note, business looks very good. There will be lots of new and exciting opportunities and financially things look much better than they have been for a while, but don’t be tricked into becoming too confident and spending money unneces-sarily. There also looks to be new business associations be careful though of opportuni-ties that are presented as too good to be true, as there is possibility of loosing money due to a wrong business speculation or somebody who tries to deceive you.

Whatis hypnosis

Within my practise I come across so many mistruths and fears about hypnosis and people often think a hypnotist can take over their brain and make you do whatever they want you to do! Nothing could be further from the truth!!

By Lesley Wood 021-4182843, 082 3782782 www.weight-masters.com

In a therapeutic hypnotherapy session the client is ul-timately always in control. Hypnotherapy is not about being made to do things, in fact it is the opposite; it is about empowerment. Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis is not a state of deep sleep and you cannot be made to do anything they would not ordinarily do. It does involve the induction of a trance-like condition, but when in it, you are actually in an enhanced state of awareness, concentrating entirely on the hypnotist’s voice.

How does it work?In this enhanced state of awareness, the conscious mind is suppressed and the subconscious mind is ‘awakened’. Since the subconscious mind is a deep-er-seated, more instinctive force than the conscious mind, this is the part which has to change for the client to make long lasting changes.

The important thing is that the client wants to change something and is highly motivated to do so. They have to want the treatment to work and must establish a good clinical rapport with the therapist in order for it to do so……The readiness and ability of clients to be hypnotised varies considerably and hypnotherapy generally re-quires several sessions in order to achieve meaningful results. As such, hypnotherapy is a kind of psychother-apy. Hypnotherapy aims to re-programme patterns of behaviour within the mind, enabling the client to move past irrational fears, phobias, negative thoughts or feel-ings and suppressed emotions. As the body is released from conscious control during the relaxed trance-like state of hypnosis, breathing becomes slower and deeper, the pulse rate drops and the metabolic rate falls. Similar changes along nervous pathways and hormonal channels can also decrease the sensation of pain, and the awareness of unpleasant symptoms within the body.

If you are currently in a relationship, things are going pretty smoothly so sit back and enjoy the company of your loved ones, your partner is likely to be doting on you and showing you lots of affection.

Pisces18 February – 19 MarchPisces are throwing themselves into their work in 2010, there is a lot of passion and energy going into setting yourself up for your future plans as well. Watch for overloading yourself as this is sure to lead to severe stress. Possibilities of home renovations or maybe a move of home will bring on this as well, but emotionally you are ready to cope with anything that is thrown in your path, but do be careful as your health does seem a bit fragile in this period.

There is also the distinct possibility that if you are planning a family – having chil-dren, this will come about for you. Otherwise if that is not the case, you may just find that your creative energy is heightened and you are able to put your ideas into action.

“ I have put on weight again!”

“ I just don’t understand it, I exercise, follow an eating program and am just not losing weight!” How many times have we all heard such utterings.

The fact remains, that we all know how to lose weight. We don’t have to follow all the ‘amazing new diet programs’. We don’t have to run off to expensive health farms and spa’s, who promise rapid weight loss.

We actually do know how. There is no se-cret formula, there is no magic to it. If you truly and sincerely want to lose weight you can and will.

You need to have the will power to actually do something about it. It is not about decid-ing on a salad instead of a plate of chips, it is really about having a genuine commit-ment to make the right choices, no matter what is happening in your life.

Cape Cadogan

VIBRANT LIFE PAGE 31

If first impressions are lasting impressions then prepare yourself for the Cape Cado-gan. Not only is the exterior very romantic on a rainy day, but the interior design and furnishings are superbly decadent, some-what reminiscent of a bygone era. The theme throughout this boutique hotel is very Oscar Wilde.Likewise, the neighbouring apartments which were originally Victorian artisan cot-tages have been tastefully refurbished to form one-and two-bedroom apartments

which are either self-catering or including breakfast at the hotel or via room service. The Cape Cadogan is perfectly located off Kloof Street, a hop skip and jump from the CBD. This location offers some of the best restaurants in the area; Saigon, Yindees and Manna are all on your doorstep. The city is within safe walking distance al-though we recommend a taxi for the jour-ney back up the mountain !You can find More Cape Cadogan on www.morecapecadogan.co.za

You may be overweight and may therefore not feel that good about yourself or your body – that in turn may lead to a spiral of negatives. You don’t want to go to the beach or pool, you don’t want to buy new clothes because they do not fit you the way you want. You don’t want to socialize too much for you do not have the clothes to wear, etc, etc,. Depression sets in and where does that take one?

So what does one do?

As mentioned above, it is about your attitude and your commitment to change, because you REALLY KNOW it will make you feel better.

Who out there does not like hearing, “ You have lost weight and look great!”. Find me one person out there who would not like to hear that - do I need to go on?

So, what does one do? Start with the correct attitude, change the manner in which you approach your food, spend more time read-ing the labels in the food stores, check the fat content. Spend more time preparing the

meals, and SAY NO to extra portions. Make conscious decisions about what you put in your mouth.

If you could hear your body speak it would be saying, “ I like this person as she/he feeds me regularly and in the correct volume so I am going to burn up all the carbs for energy, I don’t need to store any as fat”. You don’t want to hear the opposite, “ I am being fed ir-regularly and in excess therefore I must store all the carbs as fat for I don’t know when I am going to be fed again!”

You need to spend time exercising through walking but also in a gym. You dont need to spend hours there and it must not become obsessive. Find a regimen that you enjoy, that suits you, find out how to do the exercises properly from a professional and do them it at least 2 to 3 times a week for the rest of your life. Walking is also advantageous but also include a couple of gym sessions with light weights as they build strong bones.

Some clinical studies have shown that Conju-gated Linolenic Acid (CLA) can and does help the process of weight loss, but not on its own. (take 3gms to 4gms a day while exercising).

Make those changes today, and your WEIGHT LOSS will be successful and easier to maintain.

Açaí: the Amazon Superfruit The Açaí (pronounced ah-sigh-ee) palm tree flourishes in the lush forests of Brazil and its deep purple berries are one of Nature’s richest sources of anti-oxidants. Açaí also contains amino acids, Omega 6 and 9 fats and is a good source of dietary fibre. That’s why it’s known as a Superfruit. Açaí berries have been used for centuries by indigenous people of the Amazon region for increased energy, strength and stamina. Absolute Organix Açaí Powder is wild-grown in the Amazon rainforest. It’s a wholefood, not an extract. Add a teaspoon to smoothies or fruit juice and enjoy the rich, berry flavour.

Over the coming festive season if you are in the Hermanus area why not treat your-self to a visit to the Hemel –en-Aarde Val-

ley ? The valley is home to some world renowned wine estates. So we would suggest a designated driver for the visit. We had the pleasure of staying at Sumaridge Wine Estate. We came across Su-maridge at the Wine-Ex held annually in the CTICC and absolutely love their wines. The estate is no less impressive. It is picturesque and situated on the edge of the valley, perched beside a stunning lake. The view from the restaurant is nothing but spectacular. Oh, what a way to while away a beau-tiful afternoon. The restaurant is a charming, intimate venue with an interesting menu with vegetarian options. The resident chef, Zian, presents beautiful and delicious dishes. He adapts the menu seasonally and makes use of local produce. The rabbit pie currently on the menu is sourced locally. Of course the estate’s wines complement the dishes rather well or dare we say the dishes have been created to complement the estate’s award winning wines? For a very young estate there is an impressive selection of wines available which offers a range from an exquisite Pinot Noir which has been ma-tured in French oak through to the wonderfully quaffable Merlot Rosé (excellent value too). I must say my own favourite has to be the 2007 Epitome, an excellent blend of Syrah, Pinotage and Merlot. If Chardonnay is your indulgence then the finely wooded 2008 is a delight. We stayed at the 4 bedroom 4 bathroom guest cottage. It is tastefully furnished and elegantly designed with attention to space and privacy for all guests. It is a wonderful retreat for friends, and four couples be comfortable sharing the cot-tage. The main terrace has a Jacuzzi and the most amazing views. It invites you to relax with a glass of wine and a little music, the perfect end to a beautiful day.In the cool of the evening we enjoyed our Merlot before a crackling fire in the lounge/dining area. In closing I would like to wish you a safe and happy Xmas and a peaceful new year.

The lunar year of the Ox started on Monday 26 January 2009.We are now in the last phase of this yin earth year. On a personal level it is now a time of contemplation, re-evaluation, stock-taking in all areas of our lives.

Removing the extra baggage that is no longer relevant in our lives. It is time to clear the decks for the next year. When this is done, rest and recover before the madness of the year of the Metal Tiger, 2010.

It is important to monitor your health, eat healthily, exercise and above all find time to rest.

Financially we all need to do more with less. The glamorous days of excess are over. Err on the side of caution and work a financial plan. Ask yourself “do I need this item or do I just want it?”

We are currently in a period (Period 8 according to flying star Feng Shui 2004 to 2023) that favours structure, discipline, knowledge, wisdom, spiritual intelligence, but above all hard work.

We all need to take stock of our lives and what holds up and works and what is no longer rel-evant or does not serve us. Restructuring is the order of the day. Simplify, get back to basics and loose the victim mentality that has beset so many in the last couple of years.

Albert Le Roux practises classical Feng Shui for residences and corporate businesses. He does and consultations and flying star updates for homes and businesses and destiny analysis. Cell number 0736385068

Glyconutrients are plant carbohydrates (mono-saccharides). There are over 200 carbohydrates (or sugars) but only 8 are essential for bodily function. These are xylose, fucose, galactose, glucose, mannose, N-acetylglucosamine and N-acetylneuraminicare (a sialic acid).

Glyconutrients are described as the key to proper cellular communication and proper cell function. Supplementation with Glyconutrients could pre-vent disease and increase the body’s ability to heal, repair, regenerate and protect itself.Glyconutrients in combination with adequate amount of other key essential nutrients can accelerate healing, improve immune function, slow down aging, improve memory, lower anxiety.

Some of the examples of the exciting possibilities of Glyconutrients are:
