Viasat Business Voice is a Voice over Internet Protocol service that provides many of the commonly-used phone service features for up to four phone lines:

    › Number portability

    › Directory listing

› Unlimited calling to the US, Mexico, and Canada

    › Caller ID

    › Call waiting

    › Call forwarding

Your Business Voice service is prioritized over Viasat's network for optimal satellite connection and premium call quality for use in your office, while our mobile dialer, Viasat Voice Pro, gives you the flexibility to use your business line remotely.

    Note:

› The Business Voice service should be connected to the internet through the equipment provided to you by Viasat without any encapsulation (with or without VPN, encryption, and/or SNA) in between.

The Grandstream IP phone provides easy access to additional features, such as messages, phonebook, redial, hold, mute, conferencing, call transfer, speaker, and volume adjustment, as well as a message indicator. You can also program the speed dial buttons for faster dialing.

The phone screen displays differently depending on whether the phone is idle or in use. The idle screen displays the date and time, phone number, and status of the network, along with softkey options that are context sensitive. The available options are listed above the softkey buttons and will change depending on the status of the phone.

If there are any missed calls, the phone number will be replaced with the number of missed calls, and the fwdall softkey will change to missed.

    Settings via web interface

By using the web graphic user interface (GUI) to access the phone, you can setup the speed dial buttons, add contacts to the phonebook, and change the headset type. To access the GUI, you will need to obtain the IP and MAC addresses of the phone you want to change these settings on.

1 On the IP phone, push the nextscr softkey two times and note the IP address.

2 Locate and note the MAC address on the back of the phone.

3 Using a web browser, go to https:// followed by the IP address (i.e., https://XXX.XX.XXX.XXX).*

    4 Enter the username user.

5 The password will be a combination of the last six digits of the MAC address (no colons, all lower case) and the last four digits of the phone number. For example, if the phone MAC address is 00:0B:82:DE:87:F5 and the last four digits of the phone number are 1287, the password would be de87f51287.

*If the browser indicates an invalid security certificate, select the advanced tab, click add exception, and then select confirm security exception (or similar options in any browser to continue to the webpage). This web GUI is designed for private use to specific equipment, not for public access, so no certificate was obtained. This poses no security threat.

    Note:

› The speed dial, phonebook, and headset settings are the only ones that can be changed. Any other modifications will revert back to default settings within 24 hours.

The speed dial buttons can be set up by using the web GUI interface.

1 Once logged in, go to the settings menu and select programmable keys from the pop-up menu.

2 Next select programmable keys from the submenu.

3 Under the multi-purpose keys section, confirm speed dial is selected from the drop-down menu under mode.

5 Enter the name you want to assign to the speed dial button in the description field.

6 Enter the ten-digit phone number in the value field.

7 Repeat for each speed dial entry.

8 Click save and apply. A confirmation message appears when successfully saved.

9 If no other settings will be changed, click user logout in the upper right corner to log out of the web GUI.

Label the speed dial buttons by removing the plastic cover over the label. Replace the plastic cover when finished to protect the label.
