UPEI’s  Department  of  Computer  Science  &  Information  Technology  presents:  

 

2nd  Annual  Video  Game  Development  Competition  

 On  Dec.  20th,,  2011  the  department  will  announce  a  target  game  idea.  Competitors  from  Island  jr.  and  sr.  high  schools  will  then  have  2  weeks  to  develop  a  video  game  based  on  this  idea  using  Game  Maker.    Completed  games  will  be  submitted  for  evaluation  by  industry  experts  and  prizes  will  be  awarded.  Prizes  include:  Best  Overall  Game  (individual)  • Paid  summer    internship  with  a    video  game  development  company  

• $500  scholarship  to  UPEI  Best  Graphical  Design  (individual)  • Paid  summer  internship  with  a  

  video  game  development  company  • $500  scholarship  to  Holland  College  

Best  Team  (of  2)-­‐Developed  Game  • $250  each  in  gift  certificates
