UPEI’s Department of Computer Science & Information Technology presents: 2 nd Annual Video Game Development Competition On Dec. 20 th, , 2011 the department will announce a target game idea. Competitors from Island jr. and sr. high schools will then have 2 weeks to develop a video game based on this idea using Game Maker. Completed games will be submitted for evaluation by industry experts and prizes will be awarded. Prizes include: Best Overall Game (individual) Paid summer internship with a video game development company $500 scholarship to UPEI Best Graphical Design (individual) Paid summer internship with a video game development company $500 scholarship to Holland College Best Team (of 2)Developed Game $250 each in gift certificates Details of the competition including rules and prize details are available at: http://www.csit.upei.ca/makeagame
