HOW AND WHEN TO USE FORTIFLORA®

CLINICAL INDICATIONS• Gastroenteritis and diarrhoea associated with microfloral imbalance

• Diarrhoea associated with stress, antibiotic therapy or diet change

• Acute enteritis

• Reduction of flatulance in dogs

• Poor faecal quality in dogs and cats of all ages

Give one sachet of FortiFlora® every day, sprinkled on the top of the usual food, until at least 7 days after the remission of the clinical signs (diarrhoea, poor faecal quality or flatulence)

TO HELP REDUCE THE RISK OF DIARRHOEA• ANTIBIOTIC THERAPY-RELATED DIARRHOEA Once daily administration of FortiFlora® during the antibiotic course and until 7 days after the last dose of antibiotics.

For maximum efficacy, give FortiFlora® at least 3 hours before or after the antibiotic administration.

• STRESS-RELATED DIARRHOEA (i.e. before a predicable stress period: travel, new home, kennel, shelter, veterinary examination, grooming, hospitalisation,

competitions, etc).

Give 1 sachet of FortiFlora® every day, 3 days before the stressful event, during the whole period of stress and until at least 3 days after the end of stress.

• DIARRHOEA RELATED TO DIET CHANGE (i.e. introduction of a therapeutic diet or a maintenance food, during weaning,

dietary indiscretion, etc).

Once daily administration of FortiFlora® from 3 days before the start of the diet transition until 7 days after the pet has been fed entirely the new diet.

OTHER• AS A PALATABILITY BOOSTER (i.e. for hospitalised pets with low appetite, during introduction

of a therapeutic diet, etc). Add 1 sachet of FortiFlora® daily to the food for as long as palatability enhancement is required.

CANINE AND FELINE FORTIFLORA®

• FortiFlora® can be safely used from weaning for puppies and kittens

• FortiFlora® can be used daily, on a long-term basis
